Very nice thread you got here.
:)

I thought I'd add a few things for anybody interested...

This is my personal favorite as far as dripping goes...
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartridge-mods/40093-direct-drip-cart-mod-ddc.html

Some people seem to get a rubber taste from the pen grips.
I find that if I soak them in very hot water first there is no rubber taste.

Also please note that 306 atomizers are exposed, and fully compatible with 510s batteries.
So if you've got a 510 and want to try an exposed atomizer, there you go.

Also, there is a place you can buy a special metal mouthpiece or cartridge tip made specifically for drippers. I can't remember the name of it or where to get it, and I couldn't find it by trying to search.

If anyone can remember what that thing is perhaps you could post a link or something?

I might be able to edit that link into the sticky somewhere... I did mention the pen grip briefly, but I originally wrote that post for absolute beginners. I didn't want to overdo it. It's just that I found myself explaining it so many times I wanted a quick link to an overview. I felt it was important, because I was so close to giving up before I heard about dripping, and I see so many posts by noobs that are just as frustrated as I was.

Yeah, Super T Manufacturing. I did manage to get that link in the sticky, towards the bottom. Now you see why I was trying to keep it brief and simple. :D

I certainly understand the desire to create something that keeps things simple for the knewbs, much like the thread I created which is linked in my signature. In fact, a few people suggested that I add some information about dripping, but I thought that was more advanced then I wanted to go with that thread.

Pnubes, you gotta spoon-feed them until they are ready for solids.

hi, i'm a noob but have had the default stuff on the Joye/Janty stick 306 for quite some time now. I bought some 36mg menthol juice and i'm wondering if i can put that in an empty cartridge that came prefilled with high juice already? Once the shipped cartridge is done, do you think i have some more room/life in the mesh/batter to put more of my own juice is in ? or is the mesh completely used up by the time you suck out the default juice that comes with the cartridge ?

I'm fairly new as well and I don't use carts but I've been reading about it for a couple of days now so I think I can point you in the right direction. From what I read the original material in the cart isn't that great so people have created a few mods. I'd do a search on Zero Filler Mod, Blue Foam Dart Mod, Blue Foam Mod, and the Tea Bag Mod. You can also watch videos of people making some of them on YouTube. Good luck.

Thanks for the help LMT. I'm fairly new to e-liq also and normally just use prefilled carts that have 36mg of Menthol, and i toss them away after about 20 puffs, but I wanted to ask if those carts can hold another filling, or if something custom needs to be done. It almost seems tedious to go through all that just to make 1 cart, I would do it as long as i can be used for a weeks worth of hits for example, but if they still need to be changed, or the padding needs to be ugpraded daily, then i'd rather use the prefills than waste all that time. I'm still saving money by buying the cartridges vs. packs of smokes 8$ here in NJ, so no biggie.

Yes, almost all of us refill the cartridges with juice once the prefilled cartridges are empty.

You can do this a number of times before it stops working quite as well.
Then you can take them out and wash them and pat them dry and use them some more.

Although, as the poster above said, many of us switch to using a different filler material.

Thank you so much for these instructions! And thank you, LMT, for directing me to this thread.

I tried this last night. I was discouraged at first because I wasn't getting any more vapor than I had been. So I added more liquid, which flooded it, and it retaliated by spewing nasty liquid at me again. I came back here to learn how to fix a flooded atty, started over, and voila! Vapor!

I still want to try the BFD mod so that I'm not having to drip constantly. However, at least now I know that *something* will work for me, I have a way to use my eGo while I wait on the blue foam, and I have an alternative ready if the BFD doesn't work for me.

Happy to hear you got it going, and I'm happy I could help.

I tried this cart mod yesterday and it worked well, it's very simple.

Just received a stainless steel T-Tip from SuperT, my first thoughts are it's well made, looks nice, and feels good on my lips, here're some pics...

That looks pretty sweet, LMT. Thanks for the pics, I've been wondering how the inside of those things look. I'm surprised it feels so good on the lips, though: I guess I assumed it would be kind of cold and hard. I'm going to have to get one, now.

It's hard which I'm use to since I've been using my metal mouthpiece mod, it also does start out feeling cold but warms up as the atty warms up. And it adds a bit of weight which is a bit bothersome but i'm sure I'll get use to it.
