It will make a gurgling sound when you puff the e-cig when the atomizer is flooded.
If the filler is overfilled, you will see liquid pooling on top of the filler.

The atomizer is what gets hot, it has mesh in it and just under that mesh is your heating element.
The cart is what the filler and liquid are in.

I've heard taht gurgling sound before, and that was just from a fresh cartridge and not adding drops. How do I correct this, letting it sit for a while?

Just puff through it, the juice will be vaporized in a few puffs. It helps a bit in getting the dry atomizer primed. Just don't want it leaking!
If it leaks you can use a papertowel to dab the top of the filler. Most see that as wasteing liquid. A syringe could be used to pull some liquid back out also. I picked a couple up at the pharmacy for next to nothing.

You have been most helpful, I was thinking that I was doing something wrong, or the product was bad. Actually from reading, and your help it seems most of my problems were partly due to my lack of understanding how the atomizer works. I was looking at the atomizer like it was an electrical outlet. *laugh*

Yeah this pen is not the best, (it does give off a lot of vapor) I prefer something that is lighter on the hands and mouth. If I continue I'll look into getting a better e cig but I Think I'll stick with the drops because buying filters would be pricey for me.

You are doing real good. You can also buy the filler material and refill once the filler won't hold its shape anymore. Do a bit more reading on your style e-cig. If there is anything I can do, shoot me a private message and I will be more than happy. Good Luck and don't give up.

Sometimes you can take the atomizer off the battery and pull the cartridge off and blow through the open end of the cartomzer (holding a papertowel under the end that has the threads for screwing it on and off) and you will get the excess liquid out. Really you should do this as basic maintenance each night and allow the atomizer to drain on the towel overnight.

OH cool I just did that, I was using my can of compressed air but blowing it in the big opening end. I just blew the small hole and liquid came out. Better tokes now.

OMG, the verbage is getting to funny for me.

When you hear the gurgles-put the led end of battery up towards the sky. You could have a tad bit much liquid in the cart. Store it led up when this happens. When the gurgling is no more led down so gravity can help with wicking the juice up the fiber.
You can also use your tweezers when liquid is low in the filler to pull the filler out and turn it around so that the most liquid filled fiber is towards the atomizer.
Little tricks and know hows.
I must say that when someone comes along and tells you to get a 510-it's much better. You will still have to top off and fiddle. Each e-cig atomizer and cartridge combo will have to be fiddled with.
Cartomizers will have to be topped off, also. Just not as often if you are a light vapor. The main thing is to get to understand the unit you have until you get this all down and understand it more, I suggest you stay with what you have already.
