Noob Here! Help with Vamo and Beginning Dripping

Hello everyone, I'm new here!
I started a couple months back with an eGo-C and small iClear tank (I forget what model).
I was very disappointed as the flavor bar at my local Vape shop gave me vapor hits full of flavor. When I got home with my new starter kit, the flavor was muted! The wick or coil (I don't know the difference, but the cloth-looking wire) went bad in 2 weeks.

A month and a half later, and still going, I'm now sporting a Kanger Protank II with the eGo-C. I like it, but the flavor is still muted.
I ordered a Vamo and it should be getting here soon. I'm not sure where to start with dripping. I don't like the whole disposable idea. I'd like to rebuild.

I guess my questions would be:
1. What rebuildable atty do you recommend for the Vamo?
2. Are there easy-to-follow tutorials for rebuilding this atty?
3. How many hits can you take before having to drop more juice?
4. What steps can I take to prevent failure?

And any other tips! Thanks!

I use an iGo-l on my SVD and should work on the Vamo. Go to the sub-forums here: Rebuildable Atomizer Systems

You're going to need a few more posts before you can start a new thread there, but it's chock full of good info.

The coil is the metal element that heats up the wick. The wick is called that because it pulls the liquid to the coil. A cotton wick is heads and shoulders above the stock silica used in the Protank. If you're interested in building, check out the thread about microcoils.

Hi. Before launching into drippers, you might want to consider trying a cartomizer with or without a tank system. They will work nicely with your Vamo and avoid the potential pitfalls that rebuilding brings. It is an inexpensive way to 'drip' with greater capacity and ease of use. Just my two cents. Good luck and have fun!

Yeah, what is up with this phenomena? Is someone yanking our crank?

Anyway, hello and welcome to ECF.
