Hi fellow vapers.
Just starting on my journey to pack up smoking. I've been vaping for 24 days now and have reduced my habit from 20 rollies per day down to 1 at the end of each day. Never thought I would be able to get this far after 48 years on the weed - I only wished I had discovered vaping much earlier. I had failed to give it up by other means (patches, gum etc), but it is so much easier if you have something to do with your hands. Just need to work on dropping that final rollie now.
I am amazed by the number of people who have turned to vaping and the size of the industry surrounding it. There's a whole world out there that I was completely unaware of. I am trying to resist the temptation to blow loads of money on all the shiney kit :)

The size of the market has been doubling every year. Expect next year to be bonkers.

Yeah, it's getting bigger all the time, but will it stay? Remember the low carb craze? It was great for people who did low carb, but now that it's died out, you don't see any of the products anymore. Will it be the same for this? I hope not, because I'd like to continue enjoying the benefits of nicotine, without the risks of smoking. As the use gets more widespread, I'm also seeing pushback, especially from the government. Every new vaper is less taxes for them.

Welcome to ECF. 35 year rollie smoker here, 8 months cigarette free.

Before you have that rollie at night, vape for five minutes instead and then decide whether you need that one rollie or not. Eventually you will just forget about it.

For me the hard one was the first in the morning. I used to have to go outside for a smoke even before I had put the kettle on. I just vaped instead, and eventually I just forgot about it.

Hi ya, oldleatherlungs and welcome to this forum.

You have me beat on the amount of years of the "rollies", I was 35+. I'm so high on vaping now and it hasn't been a week yet.

Today I was kind of freaking out that my starter pack of e-liquid would be gone before this Monday. Instead of thinking about dashing off to the store for another pack of cigs, all I could think about was where to get more juice. Lucky one of my e-liquid orders came in the mail, yea I'm saved.

You might need a shiny new upgrade to overcome that last "rollie" at night. You really don't need to spend a ton of money on an upgrade and Black Friday is coming up.

Cheers.

Welcome. I agree, before you know it that last Rollie b4 bedtime will be history. Good advice from fabricator4, about vaping for 5 min or so then deciding to light up or not. I'm pretty new to this world too, and I still have occasionally have craving I have to fight off. Nothing compared to the many previous attempts to quit tho. I smoked 35 yrs give or take.
