between here and there
Welcome to ecf and congrats on kicking the stinkies to the curb.

About the nic level. Once you receive you aspire K4, is it a kit with a tank? I noticed some vendors include the Aspire Cleito as an Sub-Ohm tank. That particular sub-ohm tank with your 12mg should be quite satisifying. Hit that at the higher power level and you will definitely feel and absorb more nic than with the K3 without increasing the level in your ejuice. Actually they recommend to lower the nic when using the sub-ohm tanks.

Also be sure to increase the amounts of liquid you drink. vaping dries out the mouth, nose and throat membranes and you don't want to de-hydrate.

Good luck.

:)

Thanks for the pointers!

My original plan was to mix my own 30ml bottles of RTV bought locally in Australia with nic. I ordered the 100mg unflavoured nicotine, inquired about the dosages to add on our Australian forums. Although I did everything right and added the correct amounts of nic I think the overall quality of the RTV juices I bought simply aren't very good because they tastes quite terrible, I don't know if the slight loss of flavour contributed due to adding nic.

Its quite obvious because I imported some Dunhill 12mg directly from a well-established overseas seller and I can really taste the difference, the premuim quality and it worked out quite cheap overall.

I still have plenty of 100mg unflavoured nicotine to do something with.

About making my own coils etc, I am not ready for that yet, I'll probably blow us all up or something, BOOM, hear it echo through the phone lines. :O

Maybe one day when I become an advanced user. :)

Building coils are easy. Wicking tge coils takes finesse.

You want tge cotton right but just loose enough to side in the coils.

When the cotton is juiced if will expand anf fit tge coil PERFECTLY.

As long as you build your coils to. 3 and above, and use an ohm meter. If will let you know is there is a dead short or your build is too low.

Thanks so much for the replies and kind words guys! What a great community!

Yes, the Aspire K4 comes with the Cleito tank. :) Should be here in the next 2-3 days.

And I have ordered some 18mg nic e-liquid from my favourite site to satisfy cravings when needed. I know I won't be going on back on the rollies/smokes!

Today I'm going to read more about building coils and mixing so I can fine tune those areas!

From my own transition off of Rollies 18 months ago:
I had a hard time getting the nic right as I adjusted to the new delivery system / absorption rates. I would start craving, then vape like mad and get little relief (and over nic sometimes in the process). The slower uptake if the nic means that by the time I settled the craving I had a bunch more nic in my body than I needed.

I thought about it like surfing. Stay ahead of the wave (crave). It's no use trying to catch up to a wave no matter how hard you paddle (vape). Stay ahead if the wave. Keep hitting that vape even once in a while way before you feel like you want a cig. The mornings were still tough for a while, but that got easier pretty quickly.

Congrats on the switch.

Thank you for the encouragement and advice!

Yes, the first day or so I was stuck between 'this is new/fun, but.. I think I'm feeling flat'. I was attached to the Kanger Evod every minute basically, didn't feel like doing my daily routine, a slave to the vape. It was at this moment I thought my nic level is too low and I was partially adjusting or recalibrating to the vape. And the amount of juice I was using was a lot....

I'm at a stage right now where I'm probably 60% better than that day, I will do routine things but still at times feel quite irritated. But I am strong, I have quit other substances before (ie: alcohol) so the challenge is something I will fight hard towards.

Be nice if the 18mg nic juice I ordered could arrive right now though...
