I'm Lissa and I'd say that I'm new to vaping, but I haven't actually vaped yet, lol. (Waiting on my order to get here ... tap tap tap.) Just ordered the very basic Volt and some mint cartos until make sure I like this, and if I do, I already have a wish list! :)

I smoked for 25 years. I quit about 4.5 years ago and have only fallen off the wagon a handful of times over those years and only for a smoke or two. When I WOULD grab a cigarette, the taste made me sick, and back on the wagon I went. I don't crave the cigarettes per se, I crave the action. The security of holding that cigarette. The cool rush of a menthol after a good meal or that morning cup of coffee. My husband had tried an e-cig a few years ago and hated it, so I never really thought much about it since having kicked nicotine completely, I really didn't want to start up that train again. When a girl at work told me about her vaping experiences and that you could get nicotine-free juices AND a nice little cigarette shape and "smoke" without smoking, I was intrigued. I researched my tail off for a few days, order my little Volt, and here I am. Hoping I enjoy this as much as y'all do!

Thanks everyone. I am really excited!

And Ocelot, you'd better believe I've been eyeballing those nanos as well as the X2s and have a juice-to-try wish list as long as your arm!

I'm in the Knoxville area and am probably going to check out the SmokyMountainVapers stuff. Did I also read that there is a brick and mortar store of some sort near Cleveland? If so, I am soooooo there. My husband's doctor is in Chattanooga and 75 runs right past Cleveland.

You're running from Knoxville to Chattanooga for a doctor visit? Ouch. It's been a while, but I imagine that makes for a long day.

Smokeless Image does carry abquality product. Also keep in mind that it's a standard 808, so you have other options for cartos and clearos beyond what they offer if you so desire.

I will say you'll get a better cigarette feeling from a quality mini, but the Volt is a great product.

Good luck and have fun with it.

Yeah, it's about a two hour drive both ways, but you do what you have to do. He was injured on the job and has a neural implant that not everyone can mess with. He only has to go every few months, but now I'm kind of looking forward to it since I can make a side trip. :)

I've been looking at other minis and such and would welcome any suggestions. I truly picked up the Volt because it had good reviews, a shape I liked, and a price I couldn't beat to test out something I'd never done before. I purposely only ordered one battery, one charger, and one 5-pack of menthol carts until I'm sure I'm into this. If I like vaping as much as I think I will when it gets here on Friday, I plan on ordering more supplies on Saturday, lol.

Oh, the Volt is a quality product.

But when I want something that feels like a cig, I use the Sidesho. It's the same diameter as a cigarette, and when assembled is the size of a 100. It just feels better in the hand for me. And the price is reasonable. But like the Blu and other minis, you're pretty much stuck with cartos for aesthetics and the battery life is much shorter.

Try the Volt for a few weeks. Most people don't want something much smaller, and it may be perfect for you considering how little you already smoke. And congrats for being mostly smoke free for quite some time.

Good luck.
