Noob mixing juice!!

Im new to ecigs and this forum. I recently purchased an njoy from the gas station for 20.00 on an impulse buy. I use tobacco. I was not impressed with the amount of smoke or duration of the cartridge and figured this habit would end up costing the same as smoking. I looked on youtube and found a video of someone refilling the carts. All he does is fill the cap and dip it in and it all wicks in. I filled my cart with pure glycerin and was totally amazed at the amount of vapor. (billowing clouds) Im pretty sure there was nicotine left in it because it seemed stronger than it was originally. I was so pleased that I ordered some nicotine so I can mix it with the glycerin. I don't think I really need flavor at all I only need thick vapor and a stiff dose of nicotine. I did read the rules and am not a robot so Im posting my 5 post. One of the rules states not to advertise liquids above a certain strength. Are we allowed to ask and discuss those strengths? I have safety glasses.

can we post links to our youtube channel on our signature? it's not a business and does not have anything to do with vaping.

I've never mixed my own aside from diluting premixed stuff with PG or VG. There are entire sections of this forum dedicated to mixing your own.

If you are happy vaping just vegetable glycerin and nicotine, you'll be able to vape for very little money. When you get your 5 posts go ask here DIY E-Liquid and a bunch of experts will help you. I buy bottles of premixed still, but have considered trying DIY.

Thanks you all Im so excited about all this. I can for sure see myself switching from smoke to nicotine laced mist. I will not quit but just do this until big tobacco shuts it down.
I didn't get 100mg I got 60mg I was pondering 100 but decided to get 60. I know they are both dangerous but Ill not keep it in my medicine cabinet next to the visine

Trust me when I say you will want some flavoring. The nic liquid has a very peppery, slightly metallic taste that is NOT pleasant. Come on over to the DIY section. Those guys can tell you more than I can.

since the nic liquid is peppery is there any way to make beef jerky juice?

So glad you figured this out so quickly! And yes if you just vape PG/VG and nic you will save a ton of $'s. Even if get to a point that you want some flavors, the flavorings are not expensive either, have fun. bnrk

Not exactly that kind of peppery but the are bacon flavorings and worchesterchire sauce flavorings...I'm sure you could mix up something close to jerky.

Ok so if I understand U correctly...& you don't want to deal with flavors, just buy unflavored nic juice in a VG base so you can get the most VAPOR (not smoke ! U called it "smoke").

It is a lot cheaper than flavored e-juice & you can get it in bulk...in as low as 36mg...goodprophets has vg nic base that is pretty good & well priced . As do several other suppliers .

I have diy'ed for awhile now & the numbers ($$wise) add up about the same ...

mixing 100mg or 36mg ...

100mg =higher cost + lots of VG or
36mg=less cost + less VG ,

....make sense ?

Now sometimes there are really good sales & that throws that out of the window ...
But in general the cost is about the same ...the mixing time & work & mess involved,is another story.

Easier to mix w/the lower mg juice. For me right now due to the MG I am aiming for .......
and you really do need to thin "pure vg" with something ,if not flavoring ??
you will need to use PGA or distilled water, otherwise it's hard on your equiptment.

So back to you should just order "VG Based nic juice "

Thanks for all the great comments. I don't really care about the cart because it's disposable and I can get some more down the road. it's lasted a few fills and Im pretty much just puffing it all day because there is no nicotine to make me finally stop. I have read that the main problem is screwing them on too tight. I really love the thick cloud is there any danger to my battery or just the carts if I use the VG thick?

the danger is to the attomiser ...the coils & bridge will get "gunked up" faster,make 'em work harder-burn out faster....& plain vg is so thick that it will "gunk up" whatever the wicking mech. is (fluff in cart, sounds like in your case) too...it just does not wick well by itself ....needs thinning. just 3-5% will help a lot.
I use comm.thinned vg base & vg & still use 10-15% flavoring too...b-4 I was doing plain vg base with vg & 10-15% flavoring & 5% water or vodka ....so idk if you don't use flav.you may need more PGA or Water... it's Hit & Miss with this "mixing stuff",stuff

So many vendors sell both flavored and unflavored nic juice. And the strange thing is that whether you buy 6mg or 36mg, the price is the same. Check out Healthcabin.

Then you can just dilute it with PG or VG to whatever strength you want and add your choice of flavor. Very simple and cost effective.

I have to chime in here about the Njoy Npro usage. That's how I started too. Found out quickly that those cartos that you buy (5 per pack at 20 bucks), don't last very long (bit less than a day) and it will end up costing me about the same as smoking cigs. I really wanted to cut the costs down, as well as improve on my health. That's when I found the youtube video about filling the cartos back up with juice using the condom method (the one you use). Even then, I didn't like longevity of the cartos after filling up so many times. I bought blank cartos that fit the Njoy battery.

By then, I didn't like the batteries, as they tend to die quickly. Several things happen with them. First, the charge doesn't last very long. Second, a battery might only last a few months before it's really unusable. Thridly, they tend to get gunked up and the auto start feature doesn't work well if you're filling by the condom method. You can carefully wiggle the long cig filter plastic part, from the threads and atty (carefully, the wires inside will break), then drip liquid on the exposed filler material to re fill them. If you don't go overboard, then it will help prevent liquid from dripping down into the battery hole. But it's still some kind of a risk.

In the end, I really wasn't happy with the cartos anyway. I always ended up with burnt wicks and fillers, completely ruining the taste of any juice I put in there, and having to buy more cartos. Mostly I'd pick them up quickly at 7-11, for 4 bucks a piece. Couldn't see any real savings in sight. Now I use an EGO. I like these attys. They should last a long time, and the batteries last me all day. There are plenty of options that fit the 510 connection of the battery if you're not happy with the standard attys. I'm using the EGO-T actually, and I love it. Some people love it, some people hate it. It's probably about 50/50, and I haven't had any problems like the haters are having, so I'm sticking with what I've got.

it depends on "where" you shop I guess...some may charge the same price ,but they shouldn't....

IE: goodprophets ....

vg 36mg nic base is 120ml for $7.99 = 7 cents a ml
vg 18mg 30ml flavored e-juice $5.99 = 20 cents a ml*

* which is an amazing price for flavored e-juice,
considering most commercial e-juice is closer to $1 a ml

As far as "thick juice" goes, I drew up in MS paint, and printed a page with small target style circles. I then dripped 1 drop each of purchased juice, and my homemade juice in the center of different circles and waited 1 minute to evaluate the absorption. Then thinned my juice to get close to the same consistency.

damn Im glad you mentioned that company. I paid 17.00 23.00 after shipping 60mg 60ml at bluemistvaping. Im as happy to learn about that website. next time ill get twice as much for less money. that always works.
