Noob needs advice on EVIC....

I found a pretty sweet deal for for joyetech Evic for under $72. I am thinking about replacing my lavatube v2 because it keeps powering off on me. Should I pull the trigger or is there other mods out there that is better?

I personally would highly recommend it, I have one and find it to be a top performer. As you gain knowledge and the interactions of volts, watts and ohms with different e juices and vaping preferences; to me what you can do with this device to fine tune your vaping experience is excellent. I see that it only operates @ 3-5 V, most other mods I have seen operate from 3-6 V. Is that something that could possibly be an issue?

That all depends on what you want. if you want 6v than the evic is not really for you. as for me my evic performs well on a low resistance carto wich is about more or less at 2ohms with 4.2v at 8.8 watts sometimes i crank it to 9.5 watts. but its all preference really.

You probably will never vape at 6 volts even if you had it so don't worry about it. I never go over 5, not even when you get to RBA/RDA with a 1.3 to 1.8 ohm attachment 6 volts is too high you will fry your juice.

I've been using eVic for close to 3 months now and still loving it, I would strongly recommend it.

Definitely do it. I can't say enough good about my eVic. It's my standard setup, and for good reason. The voltage limit was an issue I was worried about too, but honestly I vape my cartos at 8-9W and it still barely gets to 5 volts. My BCC's I keep at 7.5-7.8W cause the taste burns after that.
One oddity: the eVic stops your power on higher resistance coils at lower power. My 3.2 ohm cart can only get to 7.8W which is about 4.99 volts. I suppose that's why, the 5V limit.

I'd say go for it! I've had my eVic for about two months now and love it! I use 1.8 or 2.2 ohms atomizer heads in my T3, EVOD, or T3s's and haven't had to worry about the 5 volt limit.

yea evics a good choice all around ohm meter feature keeps u from buying an extra 1 of those too
