As the title states, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to vaping. So I need some help, or at least some educated opinions. So here goes...

1.) I purchased (and am returning) a V2 Cigs Starter Kit. I'm now looking at either an EGo or a Vea from Johnson Creek.
What are the major differences between the different EGo Cigs (i.e. EGo-C EGo-T...)? And has anyone tried the Vea, as
it looks almost the same as an EGo?

2.) I'm currently smoking analogs (Full Flavor 100s) at a rate of 3 packs a day. What would y'all suggest for a nic strength
for a heavy smoker like me? The V2 Reds I tried were at 18mg. but they tasted horrible so I never figured out if the nic
was strong enough. Is there a juice out there that tastes like tobbaco smoke, and not like pipe tobbaco or chewing
tobbaco?

3.) Any other relevent info y'all think would helpful for a complete NooB would be greatly appreciated. Or any relevant
threads I need to read would be helpful also. I'd do a search, but being a total newbie, I don't really know what to
search FOR.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Firewalker and welcome to the ECF:) Try going to you tube and watch reviews for the e power and K Go. Also maybe watch some about the Rio and the Provari. Watch videos on how to refill cartomizers yourself. The best thing you can do is read read read on this forum and watch watch watch you tube videos about e cig stuff.. It can all be overwhelming at 1st but it gets better. I promise:) I don't recommend the EGO because its 3.4 volts and the others are 3.7 volts. The ones that look like a cigarette have about 2 hours of battery before they die so if you go with that you better get 3 batteries to use in rotation. I would highly recommend you get an mod that takes 18650 batteries for as heavy as you smoke. I bet you will end up with a Provari or a Lava Tube in the end so maybe just consider it to start off and save some money. I wish I had done that. They have variable voltage so you can heat the vapor up more making more vapor and in turn getting you more nicotine per draw. Also warmer vapor has better throat hit if that's important to you. If you have any more questions just fire away. We are here to help:)

Also for nic strength I would try 24 mg and 36 and see what works best. I smoked 2+ packs a day of light 100s and I started with 18 and had to bump it up to 24mg and later settled on 20 mg. If you go to high your body will let you know and if you go to low you will have nic fits. You can always buy VG at wal mart to cut it down but its harder to take it back up. Hope this helps.

I started with the volt. I know it's a mini, but the battery lasts for 3 hours and if u get the Pcc you can charge on the go. I was smoking 2 packs a day of marlboro smooth 100. I started with 12mg, but I was more addicted to the action of smoking and inhaling than the nicotine.

The only reason I mention the volt is because it is similar in size to an analog and makes for an easier transition.

I wouldn't start too high on the nicotine level because you are going to find that you vape more than you smoked, mostly because you can.

As far as tobacco flavor, I havnt found anything yet. I don't think you can perfectly replace the burning taste of tobacco. Try using some sweet flavors too. The ry4 is really good

Welcome to ECF , and the first opinion is that your dog is ugly . Not really , just sounded like something to say . First you have to decide if even smoking 3 packs a day , was it for the nicotine , or more for the hand to mouth habit . I would order someone tobacco flavored juice in the small sample sizes , and get several nic. strenghts to try . A 12 , 18 , 24 , and even a 36mg . Then try them out . If the 12 don't do it , try the 18 or 24 , and if need be , go to the 36mg . If you order all the same flavor juice , you can cut them , if you end up not needing the 36 mg . And the sample sizes are usually pretty cheap . I would recomend a vendor , but I do the DIY thing . So I don't buy much juice from vendors anymore . But there are plenty of people on here that can steer you in the right direction .

There are a lot of e-cigs that look like an eGo. An eGo has become a type of e-cig as much as it is a brand. IOW, there are a lot of clones and some of them are better than the original. I haven't seen the Vea, but it's undoubtedly just another one of the clones.

The differences between the Ego-C and Ego-T are in the "system" they use to deliver juice to a coil to produce vapor.
IMO, both of them are gimmicks and unnecessary. Any eGo, or it's clone, will accept all of the devices that will fit a 510 thread and all of the devices specifically made for an ego, such as cartomizers, atomizers, tanks and clearomizers.

One main difference between most original eGos and their clones (kGo, e-Power, Riva, etc.) is that most of the clones operate at 3.7V whereas the eGo is regulated to put out a steady 3.4V. The clones start at about 4.2V and gradually decrease as the battery drains, with the average being around 3.7V. The eGo gives 3.4V from full charge to cutoff.

2.) I'm currently smoking analogs (Full Flavor 100s) at a rate of 3 packs a day. What would y'all suggest for a nic strength for a heavy smoker like me? There is no juice that tastes like tobacco smoke. The best you can do is get a juice that tastes the way a fresh pack of your favorite cigarettes smells when you open it. Even that is a tall order. But don't worry. Soon you will not care. Your taste buds will recover and, if you are like most people, you will mostly get away from tobacco flavors altogether. you will wonder why you liked the taste of tobacco in the first place. You might like some tobacco based juices, but they will taste like no cigarette smoke in the history of man.

I smoked 3 packs a day for almost 40 years. I quit with 24mg easily. I'd say start there. You can always lower the nicotine at your leisure. I mostly use 18mg now and at night I vape as low as 6mg.

Usually, I give the Golden Rule of vaping: "The more it looks like a cigarette, the worse it performs". But I think you already know that.

So, I'll just say good luck and stay away from the gimmicky stuff. Don't get trapped into proprietary cartridges and tanks and atomizers. Get a device that takes the widest variety of different cartomizers, clearomizers and tanks. Always make sure your batteries are large enough and that you have enough of them so you don't find yourself grabbing for a cigarette if your battery dies or fails. Don't blow your whole budget on a device. The hunt for the right juice is longer and just as expensive. Take your time and do your research. Read the info section of ECF. And always have backups. Good luck. You'll be a non-smoker in no time.
