Hi - I'm a late riser
You don't need a VV device to use with a Vivi Nova (I didn't when I first started), just don't buy replacement heads over 2.0Ω for a standard eGo.
The best price I have found for an authentic Joyetech Twist is here:
Joyetech Ego-C Twist 1000mah Battery [1000 twist] - $22.00 : Vapors Choice, Ecigarettes & Parts
Some people prefer the Vision Spinner to the Twist. They operate the same way. Authentic Spinners come in more mAh options than authentic Twists and the dial is easier to see, but some people say Twists last longer. I only have Twists, so I have no opinion on this, outside of recommending you get the name brand.
The Vivi kit comes with 3 heads, so you can try them and see which one(s) you like the best. Some resistances are hard to find right now, so you will need to Google around. Personally, I have not had problems with clones, but other people have. I can't recommend one way other the other.
Finding juice is very difficult, especially in the beginning when your taste buds are still recovering from smoking. I don't vape tobacco flavors, so I'm no help with that. At this point, sample packs are a good plan, even venturing beyond tobacco. You will not find a juice that tastes like a cigarette, so branching out is something to consider. If you look around the liquid discussion threads, you'll see lots of info about different vendors, and there is at least one devoted to sample packs (but you need to use the search box because it many not be in that sub-forum).
Regarding the eVic - I agree, it's cool looking, but I've never tried one. There are whole threads dedicated to it, where you can get more appropriate answers.
The new members forum moves so fast that threads get buried very quickly. If you want to get my attention, "like" something and it will show up in my notifications or send me a PM.
