Can e-cigs really be smoked where normal cigs cannot? When I take a toke, I don't exhale any vapor, but I watched a video review on here, and when the guy took a toke, he blew out a lot of vapor. It looked just like he was smoking a regular cigarette.

Also, is it bad to inhale and hold it in your lungs? Are you supposed to exhale a lot of vapor?

stupid keyboard. anyway, holding it in will greatly decrease the amount of vapor you exhale.

PG doesn't produce a lot of vapor by itself. I haven't tried VG, but currently I'm using aqueous glycerine which has greatly increased vapor production.

As for smoking them in places you are not supposed to smoke analogs, this issue is on-the-fence as there currently isn't much legislation on the matter. Many people are smoking them in places like California bars and restaraunts, at the cost of a lot of dirty looks. Be advised that if the patrons want you kicked out - they will kick you out and possibly call the police. Many people aren't familiar with e-cigs at all and still consider them to be the equivalent of analogs.

I was smoking mine in front of a grocery store last week and a woman walked by and began to cough- you know - like when they're trying to tell you you're killing yourself and them and their children and the environment - completely fake coughs. I've found many peoples knee-jerk reactions to e-cigs are the same to analogs, and we probably don't want to go pissing the voters off.

Isn't it a lot safer than pot though? It's just vapor.

Much safer, but the long term effects of PG inhalation are not well known. Personally, I get none of the ill effects that would follow a lung full of smoke, so I am sticking with the assumption that it is much safer.

As for vaping where you are not allowed to smoke - technically yes, practically no. As portguy said, vaping is not combustion and vapor is not smoke. That fact won't help much when you are kicked-out, fired, fined or just plain hated for vaping where non-smokers feel that you are infringing upon their rights.

Take it like a cig.. "suck through a straw into your mouth" (fill it up good if you want a big hit) and then take a big breath of air. Jus like you would a cig. Some people straight inhale into their lungs, i have tried it and it didn't produce quite as much vapor. So i stick w/ filling my mouth and inhaling.

So do you inhale into your lungs or do you only inhale into your mouth?

Well, I'll tell you this: I smoked a pack and a half a day for 25 years, of non-pu**y cigs. I've been vaping for a week, and I already can feel my lungs have gained at least 20% capacity, maybe more. My energy is up, I sleep through the night (which I haven't done in years), I can smell and taste things I haven't since I was in college. All while inhaling vape... most of which is PG, which is also the base liquid in most bronchial inhalers for asthmatics.

If those symptoms are bad for me... well then, I'd rather kill myself vaping than smoking. At least I'll feel 1000% better while I do it.

I find it hard to inhale straight into lungs while sucking on the cig. First I fill, my mouth with vapor. Then after I pull the cig away from my lips I inhale what's in my mouth in my lungs. Do some people just exhale the vapor?
