sweet - I had a feeling I would like those better just by looking at them. That's why I ordered two (I figured the carts would turn into my "backups for my backups.") And well - If I HAVE to buy vodka to clean them....then I guess it's the sacrifice my liver has to make for having vodka in the house. ;) :D

Eventually - I'm sure I'll start keeping separates for what I like best - and prolly, (it's the ex-teacher in me) color coding them. :D But for now - to get started, I think this will work out.

eGo is what I went with when I quit (5/16/12) and it worked out great for me. I bought a kit with 650 bats and a 1000 backup bat and I never run out of power. :) Vision clearomizers are the way to go for me. No leaks, you can see how much is left, easy to clean. Yay!

I clean after every coupla fillups and I am still on the same attys. Hot water, and let dry completely. I have 3 I rotate.

Hope that helps you, even though you've already purchased. I think you went the right route.

Good choice with the twist and clearomizers, I am very happy with mine.

I like having cartomizers for my other non-favorite flavors. It's better to top off cartomizers before they are completely empty. You can get a burned taste if you vape them too dry, just refill when the flavor drops off.

Thanks! I tried so very hard to make my first purchase as informed as possible, but I saw about half way through the research that you know, you'll get lost trying to be as informed as possible and you just at some point have to take the leap.

I'll totes be looking for ways to extend the life of my gear and all that once I get going, but I have a feeling that understanding all that is impossible till I actually *have* gear...

My learning curve has been funny because just when I think I have things, my super supportive BF asks me questions like "well, how long can we expect an atomizer to last?" and I'm all "I'm just with you - even after reading all this for weeks and weeks - I know life extending procedures exist but I've not explored them as I don't have gear yet."

I'm sure even tonight - I wasted money - I'm sure I could have got the gear cheaper - I'm sure of it because the sites prompted me to enter coupon codes I didn't have or wasn't able to find that would be appropriate.

But the important bit was to do as much research as I could and just do it baby.

I'm slowly but surely learning that this is a process and while avoiding some mistakes is smart - you can't avoid them all and making the mistakes is just as important as avoiding them. Really - it's a lot like life that way.

Once the gear gets here - I'll keep everyone posted here or start a new thread? IDK - there are like 1000000 new threads a day here! I can't even begin to wrap my head around this forum most days.

thanks so much for the vid - my boy is sleeping so I'm not making any noise while I surf the nets - does the video method work for pre-filled carts as well? I guess it's good that I chose my prefilled starter carts to be coffee flavored as I'm pretty sure I'd love that taste mixed with about anything. :p

Gear got here monday evening! yay! I'm loving them thus far. I wished I'd bought another battery charger. Heh. I guess I know what I'm doing with spare change next pay....

I've only tried three of the 5 different kinds of juice so far. I'm right about the coffee juice. I'm glad that's 24 mg as it's my fav flavor. The rest are all 18 mg. I'm still trying to find the mg sweet spot. (Also - I smoked 6 ciggs yesterday and 7 today. :( I'm sad I've not quit them completely but as a pack and a half a day smoker - I'm counting my blessings that I'm under half a pack in the first 48 hours. I was on chantex 6 months before that happened!)

The other flavors I got were a tobacco flavor (I have yet to try) a peach flavor (I have yet to try) blueberry - which I like, but not as much as I thought I would and an amaretto/hazelnut that I adore! Right now, the coffee one and the amaretto one is my two favs. I love love love having a drag of one and then a drag of the other. (One of my fav winter drinks is amaretto and coffee though so I guess that's not a big shocker either.)

The boyfriend spent the first day taking hits on all of them then was playing with the blueberry one when I was at work. I have to keep reminding him they have nicotine in them (He does smoke the occasional cigar, and once in a BLUE BLUE moon would take one of my ciggs if he'd had a lot to drink) I can see it now, my boyfriend will become addicted to nicotine from smoking my e-cig.

I may have to get him a get up with some 0 nic juice for christmas just to keep him out of my stuffs.

Thanks again for all of your help everyone! I have to say, I never could have taken this step w/o you!!! :toast:

Happy to hear you are finding what you like! I would suggest getting him one, if he likes the occasional cigar, hitting a ecig is about the same, but like you said you can get him some 0mg stuff so he can just enjoy the taste and the physical desire to hit a cigar.

Good luck and let us know if you need any more help.

Someone in another thread (Or this one I don't remember) likened coming to this world as being like a beer or wine aficionado. I was raised in food service. I like a good beer. I adore a great wine. I can see this becoming something I nerd and geek out about in the same way. If I get the boyfriend his own set up with the 0 juice I can see him doing the same. I'm sure I'll be the noob pestering person whom all you vets keep around as like a noob pet. I tend to have that effect on peeps. Thanks for all your help and encouragement! :)

The Ego is an excellent first choice. I would suggest that you buy a starter kit, and try to get passthru batteries in your kit if that option is available to you.

She has already gotten her kit, she was updating her post from before to let us all know that she is totally enjoying the purchase she made. :D
