I think i understand that the ProTank is not compatable with the Twist/Spinner battery? Is therea vv battery that is compatable?

They are compatible. The ProTank is a little top heavy, but it works fine. the Protank kit even comes with a "fashion ring" to make it look more streamlined on a Twist.

Add my vote to the My Vapor Store kit as well. I tried to put a kit together for someone yesterday and I couldn't beat their price. The only problem I with it is that I suggest new vapers try as many different delivery systems as possible and they don't offer very many. As I recall, they don't have the best price for a Protank, but it's not ridiculously high and if added to the kit the amount is enough to qualify for free shipping.

Hi all,
First let me say you all rock. I've been lurking around here for a couple of months, finally registered yesterday and have been hanging out in the ECF Library being a big ol sponge for all this info. My local e-cig choices are limited to 2 brands of disposables and a blank stare when I ask about anything more advanced. I can't thank you enough for providing such thorough and excellent information and advice!

Thanks to the Library here and supplier info, I'm pretty positive I will be ordering an Joye EGO-C starter kit. I've found a custom kit that offers the bigger battery or twist battery, and comes with either the Vision clearomizer or the mini Vivi Nova. These custom kits include replacement coils/coil heads. What does this part do and how often should it be replaced? The non custom "official" starter kits come with atomizers. Do the coils replace the atomizer because of the change to the clearomizer or tank?
There is also an option for 1.8 or 2.4 ohms. Yes, I have indeed read a couple threads here regarding ohms and to honest, my eyes glazed over pretty quickly. Do I need to make some coffee and pay attention, or should ohms matter at this time?

For initial juice, I will be ordering a tobacco flavor and 3 or 4 fruit flavors. I've read the fruit flavors can crack the plastic of the clearomizer or tank. Can this be avoided by cleaning out the tank every day or anything else?

I've also read about usb passthroughs... do I understand it correctly that you can plug into a usb port and vape without using the battery? Anyone know if this is available for the EGO setup?

Ok, I think that's my questions for now. My brain is overloaded. Thanks for any help!

First off, welcome and congrats on picking up a great starter kit. I love the Ego C and the passthrough is needed in my life. When it comes to juice, not all cracks the plastic. I always vape fruits and have never had any issues except with this awesome orange desert flavor I just got. It seemed to wear way or peel the inside plastic. No biggie, they make plenty of metal and glass tanks so I am not worried. I will save it till I order a different tank. Other than that one time, nothing has hurt my tanks and I have had cherry, Vanilla, menthol, tobacco, and many others. I guess its just an issue with high citrus fruit based juices like orange, lemon, and lime. clove and cinnamon seem to be the biggest culprits.

[For a few $$ more you could purchase a Variable voltage Kit- adjustable voltage and fires from 3.3- 4.8 volts

Thanks for this!!

I started vaping about 2 weeks ago and I've already purchased 4 different setups. The last one uses an eGo-C Twist and it's my favorite but it's only 650 mAh and is not large enough to last the entire day. (Not much fun around here when my battery runs out because my other setups don't even compare!)

Anyway, I bought the battery locally and paid $39 just because I needed something that would give me what I needed right then (so I wouldn't pick up an analog). SOOOO, I'm really grateful that you posted this as I'm not in the mood to search around for a good buy.

If you're just looking for an extra battery you might check here: Ecig Batteries

You're welcome. I own 650 and 1000 Twist and 2 X 1300 Spinners and also found the batts drained quickly cuz I was vaping at a higher voltage. I prefer the 1300 mah Spinners.
As The Ocelet stated all you would need is the battery rather than a complete kit.

Is the larger battery size the only difference in the Spinner and the Twist? Also, this might be a silly question but I thought I would put it out here anyway... Is there such a thing as a variable voltage battery with passthrough?

No. At my age I found turning the smooth narrow Twist dials hard and the voltage markings invisible. The Spinner are also a little wider so they're not as long as the Twists.

Yes there are:

Both of these reasons make the Spinner more appealing to me.
Thanks again!!!

You're welcome. My Twist 1000 the dial turns too easy BUT the 650 fires great. My Spinners working great....
BUT...
a friend finds his Spinner's dials are getting loose. Just the luck of the draw between the Twist or Spinner as to which one is better quality control wise.
