So im a first time e-cig smoker and i was lucky enough to find a shop around to give me the basics but he was all for the ego types and so i got a 1000mah ego-c with a low res stardust clearomizer. I loved the setup but the flavor was bland and even after 3 tanks of juice. Ive been reading alot about the vv bats and i think i want one. Anyways so i was at the bar last night and everyone was askin what i was smoking. I even had people ask to try it! Yeah, im gonna let a complete stranger suck on my stick! Hahaha anyways i set it on the bar and turned to talk to my friend and not a min passed by and it was already stolen. I couldnt believe it. I only had it for a little less then a week and it was gone. So my question is i would like more vape from my stick.is a vv for me? I dont wanna spend a bunch when its more then likely ill lose it before i kill the batt life so are the ego twists the cheapest, reliable vv batt to buy? Any other brands to look out for? I also liked the simplicity of my stardust tank so i would like one like it but i was flava this time! Any better tanks out there? Is there a perfect starter kit out there for me? Again thanks for any help you can give!

Oh man that sucks. I feel your pain. Alcohol has claimed several of my PV's.. I've had several stolen - at least 3 that I can recall. Fortunately they were relatively cheap.

If you're like me and misplace things a lot, buy a bunch of 510 batteries and take those with you when you go out. Keep your expensive items at home when for use when you're not intoxicated or drinking and your wallet will thank you when shady people scam your stuff.

Lots depends on the juice and the delivery system. While I have VV units, they pretty much stay on 3.7 volts because of the cartos/juices I use. Even the Stardust comes in different resistance levels. You may have had a higher resistance one on your eGo but you might have been satisfied just by using a low resistance model. Many folks will tell you to run right out and get a Provari; however, you might not need or want one. If you want to try VV in an economical unit with a great warranty - I'd give the Apollo VTube a shot. I have a pair of them and also bought one for my son. If you use the code vtube30, you can get the black model (or silver or red) for $53 shipped...

PS: if you get one, be sure to get an extra battery as well as you need something to vape on while it charges

Hi and welcome to ECF. The Twist is a highly regarded PV But after buying the entire kit - 2 batts you're looking at $40+. You may want to look at the Lavatube aka VTube "if" you don't mind the size of the tube Mods:
Apollo VTube Kit
The VTube also has cheap easily found replacement batteries.
All Vtube units 30% off including the Stainless steel units, while we still have stock!

Coupon code: vtube30

Wow, PVs getting stolen? Is this good news? I mean - is it a sign of mainstreaming?

I'm sorry for this, Livingston, but hey - if you get either a KGO kit or a VTube you'll be much better off than with the eGo. Did you only have one PV? See, you can't do that. You need to have backups (and backups for your backups)...

Good luck, and speedy return to vaping!

Maybe look into a diff clearmizer. I just found out i have a electronic stix 20 mins away from me so ill have to drop by after work to save me from going to the gas station for some analog sticks. Not sure. That OR - they want it and don't know where to get it OR can't pay for it OR don't know what -it- is but have some primal instinct to make it their own. Who knows?

I guess the silver lining is it could help break some random into ecigs but I envision the ones I've had stolen from me being thrown away after the juice or battery runs out.

Backups for backups.

I had the exact same issue, I was unhappy with the leaky / burnt hits from the included Ego Tanks / Atty's, so decided to try the Stardust, and then (just like you) loved the principal of it but found the flavour to be lacking quite a bit. I upgraded to a twist and found it made the tanks perform way better around 4.0 - 4.2 volts. I also found that any higher voltages (using 70pg/30vg juices) started to make it taste a little burnt / artificial. So, I found my sweet spot at 4.2 and you will probably find yours!

Oh, and a side note: If you are (were) using an ego 650 and try the 650 Twist, the battery life is shorter be comparison. Also, the unit shuts itself off with no warning, unlike the regular ego battery which changes colour as the charge level drops.

Hope it helps!
