Hello all.

First off, I'm so thankful that this forum exists. My wife and I decided to give ecigs a try, and are hoping this will finally help us quit that nasty habit we picked up back when we were invincible (aka in college).

So we picked up a Joye 510 kit to get us started, and to see what this is all about. Earlier today we order a bunch of juice(couple of different tobacco flavors, coffee, RY4, and some peach for the wife), another charger, cases, and some filler.

We've cut our analog use in half. And I imagine once our order arrives, we'll get serious about cutting down on the smokes.

Couple of questions.

How long should the battery last between charges?

How long should an atty last, and how often should they be cleaned?

One atty isn't hitting right...no throat hit. Operator error no doubt, but my wife thought I was crazy or something, until she tried "mine". Definitely need to pick up a few extras.

We really don't mind spending the money on this stuff...not if it helps us quit smoking. And I hope this does.

Between 1 and 2 hours depending on how much you're using it.

I've now lost 4 attys in 7 months - 3 in the last week from not paying attention on a 5volt mod ;-) The other one was a dry burn gone bad. Take away 'pilot error' and I haven't lost one so far. But ymmv on attys. I've seen some report blowing them out in a day and one guy had one for 2 years. Some are happy if they last two weeks, I would be PO'd if that's alll I got and I'm a fairly heavy vaper.

It may very well be flooded - take it off the batt and cart and from the threaded/batt end blow into a paper towel at the cart end until it's not getting wet anymore - you could blow from the cart end too. Add 2 drops of juice to the bridge and put it back together and vape. Huff it a bit like you're trying to keep fire on a cigar or pipe not inhaling - rapid puffs and if you start seeing good vaper then keep on vaping regularly.

If that doesn't do it, you could soak it in 151 vodka - I don't recommend anything else - not water, rubbing or isopropyl alcohol. Leave it for 10 to 20 minutes - blow it out from both ends, let it dry on a paper towel - 2 drops on the bridge and try it.

Can't really have too many attys unless you're over 90 :) then you still should have about 25. lol.

Oh yeah, if you see some wick/thread looking thing around the bridge, leave it alone. If you have some real fine threads from the filler you can take tweezers and remove them from the bridge but only the 'hair-like' stuff from the filler - anything thicker, leave it.
