Hey guys. I'm already looking to upgrade from: eGo-C 1000 mah with the eGo-T2 Clearomizer 2.4 ohm and I've done a lot of reading and I "think" I already know the answer but I want to make sure.

I'm going to get the eGo-T mod 18650 and I want to use it with the ViVi Nova 3.5 ml tank system. My question is, should I get the high resistance tank 2.8 ohm or the low 1.8 ohm? I'm sure I'm showing my ignorance here by asking ... just trying to learn. If I'm right, I can go with either, but should get the high? Which brings me to another question ... for those of you who've actually used this particular MOD, whatcha think about it? What is the difference high/low resistance?

All opinions welcome, thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply Dansauls. As far as juice, I'm looking for a bigger throat hit than I'm currently getting. I don't know what adjustments I need to make. The local place where I get my juice mixed said they use a 70/30 mix in the winter (what difference weather makes is beyond me cuz I'm so new) but I like clouds of vape also. Not frustrated, just looking for a better, more cig like hit. Nic level is 12mg ... would upping that do anything to the hit?

From what I understand, it's 3.7v (4.2 fully charged) so it depends on the type of vape you like. You get a warmer vape with the 1.8 than the 2.8 but your charge doesn't last as long. More throat hit, I'd probably go for the 1.8. Yes, throat hit is increased if nicotine content is increased. Lower resistance may help a bit too.

Humidity in the area will create more vapor, as VG and PG both pull moisture from the area to create the vapor clouds we exhale. Hence why they have a 'winter blend.'

:)

IIRC PG will give more of a throat hit, and VG tends to give more vapor. As mentioned above a higher nicotine amount will also increase TH.

The difference between a LR (1.8Ω +/-) & SR (2.8Ω +/-) is the eventual amount of wattage delivered to the coil. LR provide more wattage, increasing the heat, which will increase both vapor and TH generally.

So glad I asked this question and got answers! I'm headed in the right direction now. I was going to get HR but with 2 votes for LR, I will try that first instead! :D

One other thing (if anyone is still with me here) ... the guy at the local shop when filling my T2 Clearomizer put 3 drops of juice into the metal part to "prime" it for the first time. He said you only have to do that once when it's new or if you clean it out and start over. That way you can vape right away without having to wait for the wicks to get to the coil. However, in videos I've watched ... I've seen some say NOT to do this. Thoughts?

I have the same mod used with the vivi tank, I was trying out different juices at the time so dont really have an opinion on which resistance was most suited but just wanted to point out some reliability issues, mine hasnt had heavy use and I am on my 3rd switch unit in as many months same issue each time. I hit the button and it just flashes and doesnt power up. Joytech upgraded the controller ( 2 different button types) but i guess the electronics are the same. While it worked i really liked it but they are difficult to get in the uk so was importing from china so gave up after waiting for 2 weeks each time i needed a replacement. with a 3.5 ml tank and 18650 batt i could get about 3 days vaping out of it and it could be recharged with a standard ego screw in charger ( not sure if i was supposed to so if nobody else has had the same failures maybe i was killing the electronics )

I am currently using the ego-T mod with a vivi-nova 3.5. I have tried both the 2.4 and the 1.8 and I prefer the 1.8 as the voltage is a little low for the 2.4. The voltage is closer to 3.3-3.4 from what I have read and what it compares to my on my vision spinner. The mod is worth the money and realy nice to be able to swap out 18650.
I also like it with the T2 and T3 with lr heads.

That really stinks you've had issues. I would be so frustrated if I had to wait that long for a replacement switch! Grrr! I did do some research on the way it's charged and saw where it could be charged with the screw in, just took longer. PapaDoug, you're from Aiken! We're neighbors (sort of)! Where do you order from? I just found a shop in Harbison. Vape Zone. Ever heard of it? I've only been there once.

Provari! That name keeps coming up! lol I'm still tossing it around. It's hard to come off of $150+ when eGo's are so cheap but honestly, you're right. I've already spent well over $100 on starter eGo kit, different clearomizers, etc. Had I come here first, I could've saved some $$$. Oh well, you live you learn right?

Another thumbs up for the provari , its what I ended up with when everything else let me down in some way. Wish I had saved the money and just bought this as soon as I realised that vaping worked for me.
Yes they "appear" expensive but I think of it this way

£8 for 20 pack Marlboro lights (uk price) 25 per day so £10 per day. Average month 30 days so that's a provari , couple of batteries , nice tank and a months supply of juice and probably about £75 in my pocket every month. Unless you are unlucky after month 1 you just need more Carlos and juice and you are set

Yes, the Provari is much more expensive, but you will constantly have to replace all other devices. Of course, you will have to replace batteries on the Provari. My understanding is that the batteries will lasy about a year. Devices like my Twist has a suspected life of 200 recharges, then I have to buy another. At $25 a pop, it won't take too long that the cost will out weigh the cost of the Provari. The Provari won't break if you accidently drop it.
