So im extremely new to atomizers (just got first one today) with my reo grand and i just want to make sure that i am doing this right and everything is working the way it should. If this has been answered somewhere else let me know please.

So im using a cisco LR 306 2.0 ohm atomizer with a clear drip tip and when i got it i primed the atomizer by dripping a couple drops into the atomizer and let it sit. Now after i let it sit all the juice disappeared into the atty and i sqounked it a little and took a drag and there is a pocket of juice that sits right above the bridge of the atomizer that appears whenever i take a drag. I dont know if that means im flooding it or if its supposed to happen like that.

Ive been looking around to find a how to on using a atomizer with the reo grand so i can know if im using it correctly but have been unsuccessful. If anyone can post a how to or something to help me ease my mind that im not going to mess this atty up id appreciate it.

If its solid juice that is over the bridge when you draw on the tip then its flooded. You can try to vape your way through it which will take a while to get through. If its solid juice covering the bridge when you draw onthe atty I would do this. I would unscrew the atty, take the driptip off. Blow the atty out from the threaded end holding the atty over a paper towel. Wipe out the catchcup. Screw the atty back on and put the driptip back on. Draw on the driptip without hitting the fire button. The draw on the tip and hit the fire button. This should give you a decent hit. If you do get a decent hit then keep doing that until it starts to feel to dry or hot for you. THen you know its time to sqounk again. When you go to squonk, look down into the catchcup and whenthe juice just starts to come out the four slots in the connector, stop. Draw on the tip again without firing. Then draw and fire and keep going until it feels dry or too hot again..repeat.

Let me know how this works out for you.

Yeah, your atty is flooded. Do what i said in the other message and you should be off to a fast start. It takes just alittle squeeze onthe bottle to get the juice up there, especially when the bottle is full. As the bottle goes down yuou will find that it takes a longer press on the bottle to get the juice up there. Liek I said when the juice just starts flowingout the slots inthe connecter, stop squeezing and then give it a drag without firing. THis will draw the juice up and keep the atty wet but not too wet. After that you can just suck and fire. You'll recognize very shortly when the atty feels too dry and it becomes second naturewhen and how much to squeeze teh bottle(squonk).

Its just a pile of juice sitting on the the bridge that i can see through the drip tip. After i take a drag it appears then i let it sit and it disappears back into the atty. like i said ive never used an atty before and dont know what "normal operating" looks like.

K just got back from work so catching up. Its definitely flooded rhapsodie, looks like the last picture. I blew out the atty and got quite a bit of liquid out then vaped it dry and then squonked a lil and its still either tasting like crap or flooding. Im only squonking till i see a glint of liquid in the connectors. Ima give it some more try tomorrow in the morning and i think i can do something a little differently.

Yea i am only a little over 2 weeks analog free and went from my eGo to this reo grand. This early into vaping i already know how i am and i knew it would save time and money to just upgrade quickly instead of over time.

Hi Chris! :)
Here are a couple of suggestions that may help....
First, after you've blown out the extra juice, put it back on and vape for 3 or 4 drags, but not until its dry. These atomizers like to be wet...just not flooded. Here is a little trick that may help you keep it from flooding. this takes a little practice, but I'm confident you'll get it. When you're ready to add juice to the atty, gently press on the bottle while drawing on the drip tip. For some it's a gentle draw...for me it just a "kiss" and that's it. All I need is a "spritz" of juice to wet the atty sufficiently for good vapor & flavor without flooding it. I hope this helps...keep us posted! :)

This is flooded...

With my Pyrex DTs what is shown as "flooded" is what I always have and it isn't flooded. But I don't have the little pool with the clear CV canons. As I'm really experienced with 306 I can tell when it is flooded or not. So it may be different for different juices and/or DTs and/or attys.

With a well fitting Pyrex DT the atty comes close to self feeding. I squonk very infrequently with that combo. I usually use light to medium colored FSUSA 50/50 juices.

Just saying.

It'll be the wick. This is because the old juice that's on it has been burnt and therefore, that's what your tasting. What I do to ALL of my 306's is take the wick out before I even use it. Experienced this myself when I started using atomizers and I'm sure you'll agree that it's the last thing you wanna taste when your vaping.

Taking the wick out shouldn't be hard at all. Just use a little paper clip and push the wick out of there (You'll see it since when you look under the bridge). Just push it out real lightly and be careful not to let the paper clip touch the coil (since this can kill your atomizer). You'll see that a piece of the wick is visible now and just use a pair of tweezers and pull it out.

Check inside of it again to see if you got it all. If you didn't then just repeat those steps. Hope this helps

So i took the wick out and even debridged it. Still tastes really burnt and i dont understand it. Ive cleaned it out, blew out all the juice i could from the atty, dewicked and debridged the atty. Could it just be a bad atty or am i just horrible at this whole bottom feeder reo thing? Ive also used a boge 2.0 cartomizer and it even tastes burnt, although less burnt taste than the atty

k sorry just got done with 14 hours of work so catch up once again.
I did prime the atty when i first got it.
I havent completely drained the bottle but i have refilled it with the same juice.
I tried a 2.5 ohm atty i had laying around and it just tasted like pure crap. I was thinking bout trying out a 1.8 (1.7?) ohm atty as soon as i figured out if it was me or the atty at fault here. I have been using MadVapes 510 Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer Kit and it has worked so great for me and i have been using it today since the reo hasent been working for me.
