Hey all! Found your forum in an off-topic thread on a car forum and am glad I did.

Anyhow, been doing a little research on e-cigs as a way for me to stop smoking regular ("analog") cigarettes. I've been smoking for almost 10 years, used to smoke camel lights (a pack or more a day) but in the past couple years have switched to American Spirits (yellow pack) in an effort to cut back. Now on a good day can smoke 5 all day if I really try and have minimal stress, but usually 6-8 or so per day, half a pack (sometimes more) when drinking or long days at work.

I am pretty set on getting the nebula starter kit (unless someone has another suggestion..), just am unsure on which strength for my liquid? With my history of smoking and current habits, which strength would you suggest? I am thinking either the 11 or 6 mg, but am not quite sure. Don't want to be getting too much nicotine (i.e. more than I am now) but also don't want them to feel ineffective, making me want to pick up an analog.

Thanks in advance for your help. :2cool:

18mg works for many lights smokers. I recommend you get some 18mg and some 11mg and see what you like. I think 6mg would be a bit light for you. And get a small bottle of 24mg liquid somewhere to hold you over in case you need higher. I don't think you will. The mg numbers are per ml of juice so with a standard-size prefilled carto w/ 18mg juice that is approx 18mg of nic in the 1ml carto.

I started on 18mg and it can be a decently strong TH on a KR808D-1 like Nebula. 11mg is a nice lighter TH. 6mg and 4mg are weak TH.

FreedomSmokeUSA has an American Spirits liquid. I recommend 70pg/30vg in the juices where you have a choice. I generlaly do not buy juices that are only offered in 100% PG or 100% VG or that don't say what they are (though I do buy Vapor4Life WOWbacco because I love its dark cocoa tobacco flavor)

As you are ordering prefilled cartomizers I would not go too low. It is better to go a little higher than lower. If you go too high you can use it sparingly. If you start too low you will run out faster. I would recomment 12-18mg since you were a light smoker.
I am not sure what model the nebula kit is, and it seems a little pricy, but if you were to get a 510 starter kit you would want to get cartos to go with it and I think keeping things simple to start is best.

You can order juices from our many forum suppliers who we know have a reputable service and offer a wide variety of juices in thousands of flavors and many nicotine strengths. If you order juice to refill I would get one high say 18-24mg and the same flavor in a low 0-6mg then you can mix in lower nic to bring down the high if its too high.

Hi ScoobD, I also smoked American Spirits before leaving analogs. I smoked the light green (for the menthol) or sometimes the light blue. I started out with 12mg or 1.2% and found that to be pleasant enough not to go any higher. You just have to find a flavor you like and go with that. Maybe a 555 might do you just fine @ that level. Hope this info helps.

Nebula is a KR808D-1, a perfectly respectable mini that is actually more volts than 510 or Ego, and a standard KR808D-1 battery has 280mah, same as Joye Mega XL.

Downside of the Nebula IMO is I think they only offer auto batteries? Autos are more prone to being damaged or killed by juice leaks, and have a possibility of turning on accidentally from wind or vibration I recommend removing the carto when it is in your pocket.
