Dustin,

I got my latest eGo from LF during their Thanksgiving day sale so I had the holiday to suffer through. lol (made the wait longer)You should have it within a week I would think.

Dripping is when you drip juice directly onto your atty, bypassing the cart or carto. Some say it gives the truest taste of the juice that way. A drip tip has a large enough hole to drip directly into without having to remove any tips etc. prior to doing so. HTH!

I will wait and let the Riva owners answer your questions on accessories. What exactly are you looking for?

Dustin, I also just placed my first order last night and just now received an email(in my spam folder) saying it was shipped via usps. All of this info is overwhelming. I've been wanting to try to quit cigarettes and have been researching this and am so happy to have found this forum! Thanks for all of the info.

Thanks! I am still confused about filling cart. and not even sure what a cartomizer is! I will have to watch some of the videos posted. I now smoke about 12 cigs a day and am trying to jog/walk and am always out of breath so hopefully this will help! I found this site by looking on slickdeals.net-my favorite site!

A house in the US
Atty- the atomizer used in 3 piece ecigs. Requires a cart (cartridge) dripping or some other method to supply juice.
Carto- used in 2 piece ecigs. Contains a cheap atomizer and polyfill so it holds juice without needing a separate cart.

At this point there are a LOT of cartos available and they work with ecigs originally designed to be 3 piece as well as mods.

Attys generally last longer and for many taste better but they cost more.
Cartos are intended to be disposable but often can last a good while before they need to be thrown out. (Dead or funky flavor.)

And B-Rad_The_Mad_Vapr-
I have no idea what you mean, sir......

I am a newbie as well. About 1 month. I did ALOT of research first and decided to to with a more expensive unit due to the battery life without alot of recharging.
I decided on the ProVape and I am VERY pleased with the results. I do not have anything to compare it to, but I believe it does everything a ecig should do and the battery life on a charge is about 6 to 7 hours. (AW battery). I use carts and have several ejuices from various venders. E Juices, seems to be the biggest trial and error thing that I have to encounter.
I was a pack and half a day smoker less than 30 days ago.
First week, I went 50/50 (ecigs/analog)
Second week, 75/25
Third week 100/0
I am now officially off analogs for 8 days!!
Things smell and taste different already and I cough 50% less already.
This is a life saver. Thanks to all here for the support and suggestions to start this journey.

dustin,

Not sure about a Riva case, however they are about the same size as eGo's. Some suppliers carry the cases without the eGo emblem. Try checking out eGo cases. It's a handy little thing to keep it all in one place when on the go.

mulva,
most carts and cartos are pretty easy to fill. I just pop off the cap (boge soft cap cartos-510) and drip juice into while holding carto at a 45 degree angle to avoid getting juice in the center straw. You want to wet it enough so that it looks "slushy" but not a puddle of juice lying on top. (you will see how easy it is when you get your set up!) HTH!

texasgranny,
That is awesome!!!! Glad to have you join us. I think that ProVape is gorgeous. =)

Dustin & Mulva - Hi there!! I'm very new to the forum as well! but I can guarantee you have come to the right place! The people here are all wonderful and very helpful in giving advice & helping to find ideas that work for you! One thing I just wanted to mention is not to beat yourself up for wanting to smoke analogs in the first few days of vaping! It is something to get used to... however it is so amazing like smoking an analog with the throat hit & smoke (vapor) that it doesn't take long to be totally vaping & not even wanting those nasty analogs! Sometimes it takes a little adjusting of things... nic strength or flavor - it took me slightly longer than my hubby to find what was just right for me, but now I'm doing great!!

Good luck & I'm sure we'll all be talking again soon!

Well, here is my 2 cents worth of advice. First off, I am a 30 day newbie at this. I have been completely off analogs for 8 days now. I don't have all the experience that others have here, but I read and read and read to learn alot before I bought.
I decided on a larger "mod" for a better (longer lasting) battery, cartomizers (easier to use at first and love them).
I bought a ProVape (google it) and I don't think I could have made a better choice. Yes, it cost more...at first. But I have already paid for it. (not buying analogs)
You might not think you want the "vapor", but I believe you will find out you do. This is important to me...as it mimics the analog smoking. There are many aspects of smoking that I was addicted to and the "smoke blowing" was one.
The only drawback that I can see at this time with my ProVape, is that I kinda feel awkard in public using it. It looks like it could be more than a ecig to some unknowing eyes.
Even with that, I don't give a hoot what they think. I have QUIT analogs!!! It took less than 2 weeks and I have no withdrawls and no desire for analogs. These things truly are a miracle.
A few more additional thoughts:
Buy small amounts of juice at first and from a couple of different venders.
Buy more cartomizers as you might blow a couple out, during the learning process.
You might go thru a coughing phase at first. Don't inhale like you do with analogs for a couple of days.
Get the AW batteries, they last for about 8 hours of vaping.
Get the LR cartomizers. Fill about 3-4 carts and rotate those thru out the day.
Watch a bunch of Utube videos on the different models out there, which helped me decide what model to get.
Read all you can here, about everything!
Good luck

Thanks! So a question: When you are vaping, does it pretty much take the amount of time you would for a cig? I mean does the vapor run out in that time? Or do you have to figure out when you've had enough?

Yay Dustin!!!! So happy you are enjoying your Riva. That scratchy feeling in your throat...(assuming you blew out your atty, IF you are using one) is probably due to the fact that vaping is dehydrating. Try increasing your intake of liquids and see if that helps. If it gets worse, take a look at the % of PG or nic, some have issues with PG (me for example) and if the nic strength is too high it can burn your throat a bit too. Just some ideas.

Congrats to you for NOT going through a pack of analogs today....that's SUPER!!!~ =D

Thanks Tracy I will look into that I ordered a lot of different kinds of juice with both pg and different nic levels although it probably doesn't help that I haven't put the thing down yet.
One thing I have noticed also is that sometimes it doesn't hit at all even though its full of juice any thoughts

Are you hearing a gurgling sound? If so, you may have overfilled it. In that case, just vape on through it!! (I just did it myself with some new juice I received today)
