Welcome to ECF!

While I am only a newbie myself I totally understand your situation and would just like to offer what I believe will be a better long term solution.

I highly recommend the following:

From liberty-flights.com (click the 20% discount in upper left)
riva lite kit - 29.99
510 driptip of your choosing - ~$2
5 pack Boge LR (2.0 ohm) cartomizers - $7.99

This lets you try dripping and boge cartomizers, also includes cartridges

If you like the Boge cartos, you can get 15 for $20 and free shipping @ crystalclearvaping.com

Start with quality juices from reputable suppliers:

Rocky Mountain Vapor
Backwoods Brew
NHaler
pinkspotvapors
rawrvapor

Eek! $80 for 10 cartos? That's worse than mall prices. If you like prefilled, I recommend the KR808; lots of flavors at $7.50/5 cartos box or so. I'm waiting for mine to be delivered (today, I hope!). The beauty of it is that you can either use the prefilleds or refill them yourself.

My kit (at myvaporstore.com) with 2 bats (they let me change out the colors), charger with USB charger, 5 cartos then three 5 packs of different flavors I wanted to try came to less than $60 including shipping. If I had it to do over, I would've ordered the deluxe kit ... it comes with the pass through AND the charging case for only $20 more, IIRC.

I plan on ordering some syringes and juice and trying the DIY method, too, to increase my choice of flavors and quality of juice.

Good luck and happy vaping!

That is definitely not an 808 variant so most likely a 510 or 4081 or one of those mystery configurations that doesn't match anything.

I still strongly recommend buying a whole new starter kit only this time maybe start with a 510 kit as it has the best chance of matching what you already have and provides greater future flexibility. The reasons are that a) you will quickly figure out you need more that 2 of the smaller batteries on a daily basis and b) you ALWAYS need to have backups in case one of the batts dies starts performing poorly or gets lost.

Looking at the pictures, it looks like a RN4081. I have noticed recently, a lot of the "free trial" and mall spots are selling the RN4081. I think because it is a more obscure model, looks like a real cig and is harder to find parts for unless you really know where to look.

I would call the sites customer service number and ask what model battery and cartomizer it is. If they are washy about answering, cancel your subscription (which you should do anywho). Then look at AquaVaporcig for RN4081 parts. Buy 1 atomizer... $7-$10 bucks... if it fits, then you know. If not, they'll take a return with no problems.

Good luck!

It actually looks very much like the connections for my drugstore e-cig I started out with. With the help of ppl here I figured out it was a kr808d-2 connection. I can't find any sort of measuring device though, so I can't say if it's the same size.

The only place I found replacements was here: The Better Way To Smoke - KR808D-2 Cartomizers, but they work fine. I ordered some blanks that I can fill with my own juice and now I have a back up to my shiny new Go-go that I bought about a week after I got the drugstore kit.

I can mail you one of these cartomizers if you want and you can see if they fit and work...

CANCELCANCELCANCEL just as fast as you can...YOU ARE BEING RIPPED OFF...I would highly recommend you goto Liberty Flights click the 20% off button on the top left of page and do your shopping...they have lots of choices at reasonable prices...one of their best deals is the Riva501 Lite bundle for 30bux...get 30ml(or more) liquid for 13.50 and most of your hardware will be covered...the only other thing I would recommend would be the Boge2.0LR carto bundle from Crystal Clear Vaping ...please do this or similar as you are presently being seriously ripped off.......
madjack:2cool:

Thanks madjack. I intend on canceling the subscription prior to the end of my trial period. I still keep the kit (that I only paid $4.95 S&H for), but loose the warranty. That’s fine, but I still need to find a place to buy cartos, that’s really my only issue. I haven’t bought any catros yet from the subscription, so I don’t think (IMHO) that I’m being ripped-off. However, if after I cancel, I’m still incurring charges on my credit card, I’ll let ya’ll know (and eat my words). We’ll see how it goes when I call customer service to cancel (so far they have been helpful). However, as of now, I’ve received a kit that I really like, paid only $4.95, and I get to keep it whether I stay with the (over priced) refill program, or not. As long as it doesn’t take 4 months for them to stop charging my card for refills I don’t want, I’m good to go.

Either way, good lookin’ out on you part. Thanks for the heads-up

I'm normally not one to go off topic and suggest other ecigs if you're asking a question about something specific. But you've stated your kit came with 1 cigarette sized battery (somewhere in the 180 mah range presumably). We also have no idea what type of connection your battery has, so we don't know if you'd be able to find replacement/extra batteries. I think that's the reason we're all saying to switch to something that will keep you happy in the long run. I'm sure anybody here will tell you, that with a battery that size, you'll be lucky to get 1 hour of use out of it. With no extra batteries, when that one runs out, you'll have to wait for the one you have now to charge before you can vape again. I think that's the reason you're getting different answers from people though, myself included. I normally agree with trying to help with the question asked by the OP (original post). But I have to agree with others on this one.

Thanks Mike.

I’m really looking for a surrogate for analogs, so the look and feel of an analog is important to me. As for the battery, this one is fine for now. Lasts 2 full days without plugging in. I know it won’t stay like that for long, but I don’t have those (charging) issues (yet). I just thought it would be much easier to find compatible cartos to buy. So for now, I’m still dead in the water and no closer to finding an answer.

Trust these guys. If you're serious about vaping and wanting to get off analog cigarettes, you'll want plenty of spare batteries as well as the cartos. I've been vaping for close to a month and recently had a total equipment failure and had to smoke analogs for a day, it sucked!

Really the only advice anyone here can give you is, get more of everything. Whether it's from the company you're currently dealing with, or you order a much cheaper kit that looks similar to yours from somewhere else. If you enjoy vaping, your heart will break when your one and only battery dies.

Thanks VTAK8K. I get it. I understand what everyone has been saying, and I'm not giving "push back". I really ONLY wanted to know how to find and know what catros are compatable with my batt. It looks like it might be a 510 or a 4081, but I can't be sure which. Also, can I refill my existing (spent) cartomizers and how many times can I refill one before the atomizer goes bad?

You're right, there's some good folks in here and all are trying to help the best they can. I just thought the answers for me would come easier.

Cartos can be boiled clean and reused until the atomizer gives out. Anywhere from 1 week to several months for some users. There are videos on YouTube that demonstrate how. One way to tell if it's a 510 or 4081 is look at the threaded end of the carto, if it is smaller than the circumference of the casing by a little it is probably a 4081, if it is noticably smaller in circumference, it is a 510. I have both, and that's the easiest way for me to explain it to you.

I think you nailed it. This carto appears to be a 510 (I Google'd some pics of both). I gonna drop an order for 510s, cancel the other subscription. Thanks for your help!!

Be careful if you get the FS510 kits as they are revers polarity. While it can use any of the same attys and cartos as a Joye the chargers are not compatible. Same caution applies to your current kit. "There is no way of knowing if the batts and chargers will be compatible with what you buy next so make sure you label your chargers and only use them with the batts they come with unless you know the branding is the same.
