Hi. I just started vaping about a month ago with the following setup.

eGo C-upgrade (2 batts) with type A (cone-shaped) tips, with a T3 clearomizer. I liked the clearomizer, but it doesn't seem to work well. I've gone through 3 attys on it and it works well for about 3 days or so, and then starts to give a burnt taste. The type A tips work well though.

I vape about 3ml per day.

Any suggestions? I like the idea of a tank or clearomizer, but don't know if I'm doing something wrong or I need a different one.

Thanks

You can dry burn the t3s to clean the coils off. Here's a thread about how to do it: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/clearomizers/366220-kanger-t3-dry-burn.html

I don't get more than a few days before my protank coils start to taste funky to me. I don't know if its my juice or that I'm just really picky about having fresh clean coils. Sometimes I even think they are better than new after dry burning. They are more broken in, or something.

Your picky like me. Wash them every two days in Vodka then water rinse..... let dry for a day..keep a rotation going. I like my heads to taste like new every puff.

I do too! I know some people say they get months out of a cartomizer. I believe them, but I just can't imagine. I don't think I've ever gotten more than 4-5 days, at the best, before I just can't stand the taste anymore. I decided life was too short to spend vaping a carto that tastes like dirty socks to me. I'm sure juice has to be a factor as well as personal taste bud differences.

I have the eGo C Twist with Clearomizers and LOVE them. I vape at least three flavors during the day, coffee in AM, menthol in afternoon and Sweets at night, all in their own Clearos....

Great prices ever where but if you want them to last, buy re-buildable ones in the first place, then later you can buy parts, and they should last a month or two before you have to change the head.

I 2nd the re-buildable suggestion. It just makes more sense. We don't have very many local vendors in Nashville. I like have the supplies on hand and the ability to get my tanks back up and running myself. Plus the disposables just seem like such a waste.

I started with a Vamo and CE3 clearos, and they seemed fine. They're easy to rinse and change flavors or just to freshen them up a bit. I haven't worn any out yet, but I don't use them as much. I moved on to Kanger Protanks, which I sometimes rebuild to lower resistance a bit, which just means you can get more vapor with less power. They're actually quite good right out of the box, though. I still like them for taking out, becuase they almost never leak for me. I've heard they can leak when they get close to empty, but I haven't had that problem. I found that if I just open them up to equalise pressure a bit, when they're low on juice, they don't leak at all.

Have you tried to clean your clearomizer? That may help. I've had some T3/MT3's be finnicky.

Yes, I've rinsed it out, soaked it, and let it dry out without any change in the burnt taste. I really am not interested in rebuilding / rewicking it every 3-5 days though.

Are there any other clearomizers or tanks or systems which would allow me to avoid that? I like the idea of only filling up once a day but don't like the taste problems every few days.

Thanks.
