As a nooblette, I just wanted to share some pictures of my reo's and their coils. I had a lot of trouble with mine when I first got them, but now they decided to stop being bad, and we're best friends!
If I can make vapeable coils, I have faith anyone can :)

Fine looking coils. I got lucky on my first few and found once I backed off on the cotton and raised the height - My tube mods have been getting cold and lonely ever since. :)

im afraid i'm not a pro squonker yet, and if i raise the coils more then i'll end up burning the cotton :/ I feel like I'm using a super small amount of cotton, and am afraid to use even less lol.

What the heck are those things???

Are those Tesla Coils???

Are those the tops of rebuildables that I see there?

Maybe if the picture showed to thing that goes on top I'd have some idea what this was about.

I'm even more confused now about what a REO is! I thought the top of a REO would take a 510 threaded tank?

The Reo does have a 510 connection in the drip well. That is the Remizer 2.0 or RM2 for short without the top cap on it. The RM2 is a rebuildable atomizer that has been customized to work with the bottom feed of the Reo. The vast majority of Reo users find that once they get the coils and wick dialed in on the RM2 that the combo of a Reo with the RM2 provides the best vap they have every had.

What the heck are those things??? Reomizer 2's with micro coils

Are those Tesla Coils??? Nope, micro coils

Are those the tops of rebuildables that I see there? Yes

Maybe if the picture showed to thing that goes on top I'd have some idea what this was about. Those are on top of a Reo

I'm even more confused now about what a REO is! I thought the top of a REO would take a 510 threaded tank? They are 510 but they don't use tanks because they have a bottle of juice inside the mod

My friend, you might as well just buy a Reo grand and a Reomizer 2 and thank me later.

Edward, the liquid is down below the atty (in the body of the REO) and you squeeze the bottle and it squirts the juice (from the bottom through a hole in the connection and a hole in the atty) up to saturate the coil. There is a cotton or silica wick inside the coil that gets saturated. You never have to turn it over; you just squeeze the bottle and it pushes the juice up through a tube to the atty.

Here's a good thread describing the REO. If you're looking for a GREAT vape, you should consider one of these...they're wonderful.

So am I correct in thinking that you turn the thing over to flow the liquid towards the coil and maybe wet the (steel) wick ?

essentially a wickless system.?

It's not a wickless system. The coil is made of Kanthal resistance wire and we usually thread a wick made of cotton or silica or something similar that's absorbent through the middle of the coil to hold the juice and feed the coil. In tiny little pictures it's hard to see the details, but that's how it works. There's a hole in the floor of the rebuildable that allows juice to saturate the coil/wick, then drains the excess back down into the bottle.

Ok;

So the big difference is the tank is below the atomiser.

I don't like the notion of squeezing the tank to push liquid up to the atomiser.
I wish the power supply could be decoupled from the box

Well, the whole point of the REO is that the battery and the ejuice supply are in one place....in the body below the atomizer. If you don't like the battery in the box, and you don't like the notion of squeezing the tank to push liquid up to the atomizer, then I'd say the REO is probably not for you. Those are the two most important features of the REO.

It just takes slight pressure on the bottle to make the juice move up into your atomizer, cartomizer or RBA.

You don't have to push on the bottle every time you take a vape. You will learn quickly how often to squonk (push the bottle).

No messy tank. Just unscrew the cap and fill the bottle with juice.

The metal REO's are very nice. No wires. One contact point that works when you press the button.

Take out the battery and there is the decoupled power supply!
