Ok, so the VK from V4L is my first e-cig and I'm closing in on 2 weeks vaping, no cigarettes :2cool:

I haven't yet played around with juice/blank carts/filling, I've just been using up carts and tossing on the first 'off' flavor hit (meaning that burnt is not far behind). I'll get around to it eventually but for now I'm just enjoying vaping and getting a feel for how to effectively use carts.

So, do the higher nic content carts last longer? I had a 36mg peach carto I had vaped a ton off that was one of the first I used, and I just used it up tonight. I've noticed all my fruit 36mg carts are diehards, I ordered 5 in a sample pack and I just now, nearly 2 weeks in, opened my 4th out of 5. My 555 in 18's are pretty stout as well. But the 8mg carts are gone in a day and a half.

I realize that part of it is a heady respect for the amount of nic (meaning I feel free to have a longer session on lower mg's) , but there seems to be a relationship here, the higher the nic mg, the longer the cart lasts. I know I'm hitting the 36mg carts less, but nonetheless they've simply outperformed my 11's and 8's. So am I right on this or is it purely vaping style and I'm killing the 8's?

I find if I vape higher nic cartos/juice then I tend to not vape as much... but if I'm going to be chain vaping then I'll do a lower strength (8mg or 11mg) as I've had a little of a nicotine overdose using 36mg/24mg (headache, anxiety, sleeplessness) - with that said, you just might not be vaping as much with the stronger nic cartos.

Hey ProjectVIN welcome aboard, caught your intro tucked away in another thread and didn't get a chance to welcome you. You have basically answered your own question, it comes down to vaping style. More importantly it illustrates one of the biggest challenges for new vapers, dialing in your nic level. Cartos when matched correctly to a users optimum nic level will last the same amount of time in use. If you require more nic chances are you are hitting your Carto more, taking in a longer draw, less time between draws, and in essence shortening the Carto lifespan.

2 weeks in huh, good for you, every hour and everyday is a victory. In the next couple of weeks you may find your coughing up some pretty nasty stuff in the morning...it's normal and will last a couple of weeks as your lungs are working some of the tar out.

You may already know, but vaping will dehydrate you (which may manifest in acne, dry skin, dandruff, sensitive gums, dry mouth) so it's best to double up on liquid intake which will help out cleansing your body of the residual chemical in cigarettes.

Hope this answered your question......again welcome to the family!

Well I'll take advice from veterans of vaping. I do know now to up the water intake as friday was a bit of a party...between the scotch whisky and the increased vaping that night saturday morning greeted me with a vicious hangover, and I should have probably added a extra litre of water to the mix at some point. I have had a couple of random zits as well. Either way, it sure beats shortness of breath which had been a constant late last year.

The only real downside was, I maintained an amazing sense of smell despite a decade of analogs, and now that I'm vaping, my sense of smell is preposterously acute, so much so that any, even slightly foul smell, is making me gag!
