Since there is no kr808 model specific section I'm putting this here. I don't think Steve will have a problem with this, just my ideas of what I think would work well. What I have decided to do is get a 901 little Chuck(getting one from someone on forum, he is including 3 901 atties, charger and some juice too), and also ordered a 901 to cartomizer adapter, ordering a passthrough from V4L and a lot of carts and wanted to get a car to usb thing but I think it is sold out. Also I think it would be a good idea for steve to order some 901 to cartomizer adapters as well, he could possibly get some business from people who have 901s and want to try out cartos and might possibly make the switch to using cartos more.

Anyway my reason I am thinking this is a good idea is because the kr808 batteries are compatible with 901 atomizers, and with the 901 to cartomizer everything would be compatible with each other. This also means the vk passthrough would work with either cartomizers or a 901 atty(and if you could have it in the car working for both it would be an even bigger bonus). I would be able to use cartomizers for long periods on the little chuck, not even having to worry about changing batteries much(or if you wanted to get a normal chuck, however supposedly with the normal chuck and if you want to vape cartos at 6v you need to keep them full, as they will start tasting burnt when half the liquid is gone). If someone new wanted to try out 2 different models this seems like it would be a good idea, and everything being cross compatible is a major plus.

These are just my ideas, when I get everything in I will post how it works out, I like the option of being able to use either 901 or cartomizers on any given device depending on what mood I'm in, if I feel like fiddling with stuff or not.

V4L could probably make some money off 901 atties and adapters, but they promote the cartomizer mainly, which is hassle free, and not the normal atomizers(which are high maintenance) so I don't think they would want to sell any normal atomizers, but the adapters could entice some 901 users to get some vk cartomizers and juice to try out. Right now if you wanted to try out cartomizers on a 901 you would have to buy adapter from vaporcountry and buy cartomizers from v4l, if you could get everything in one place it would be more appealing.

Right the 901 atty works on the KR808s battery with no issues. The cart on the 901 battery doesn't though. I just ordered a Chuck now myself, 901 model, waiting on Vapor Country to get in their 901-cart adapters since I don't have a working 901 atty anymore. My aim is to use the carts on the chuck :D I may order another 901 atty too though to be on the safe side :p The battery life, cutom design and switching between 3.7v and 6v has me sold on the Chuck but I LOVE my cartomizers so am eagerly waiting on Vapor Country to get those adapters back in!

GCow

just a suggestion you could just get a 901 extension that one uses to extend the 901 manuals then you can just drill a tiny hole in it and your VK carts will work fine :D its cheaper than VC and works great if you use a smaller size bit

PM me if you want more info

Just GC not everyone please others can just search ECF and can find the answer

I like the chuck but not sure I would vape at 6 volts. I know I wouldn't. I can't afford that many carto's..lol. In fact I have cut down the voltage with my mod and am limiting current to 1100ma's to avoid burning out carts. With a VK battery we use appx. 1200ma's and the passthrough uses 1600ma's. I don't remember if the chuck's voltage is regulated... but if it isn't, you would actually be using 7.4 volts because the nominal voltage of a li-ion battery is 3.7 volts.....2.5amps. Also be safe....make sure you use protected batteries.

I get too much of a buzz with a VK passthru and 11mg carts or 11mg cartomizers! 6 volt is way too much for me! I would think those would eat a cartomizer alive.
I have a VP1 (with the 801 to 901 adapter) that uses a protected AAA battery and it runs thru cartomizers pretty fast. (it's good though)
I thought about one of Vapor Country's new Screwdriver type mods (the Cisco) But I can't get anyone to tell me how many volts it is with a AA protected battery.
My NicoStick also has a AA battery and is nice with a cartomizer. Totally confused here!

Thanks for all the tips :) I really am trying to learn as much as I can here. I'm definetly looking for protected batteries in my searches for them and I'm an ex-dripper so can do that if needed.
Thanks all for the great help and advice :)

I recommend AW Li-ion batteries. They are a bit expensive but are very safe..not that any li-ion battery is perfectly safe but they are good. I am using 4 AW's RCR123's in an LED flashlight...I have been very happy with them.

Google

AW also has lifepo4 rcr123's that have a nominal voltage of 3.2 volts. These batteries are much safer but can't be charged with a li-ion charger. But they would give you a lower voltage.

I don't think a single lifepo4 18650 battery would supply enough current. I don't have any but I think 3.2 volts would be too low.

Just to make this clear, when speaking of protected Li Ion batteries, this refers to a circuit in the battery to protect it from over or under charging.

Completely off topic, but Jeff agreed to http://fc04.deviantart.com/fs8/f/2006/350/e/d/A_Perfect_Circle_CD_Cover_by_lordjax.jpg for graphics for lil chuck I'm getting xD.
