Ok.. had my 401 for a couple days now. Can't say I'm off analogs yet, but hoping in a few weeks to be.

1. It seems to take 1-2 seconds to get a (good) glow from the LED and I don't feel heat from the atomizer unless I do a REALLY long pull (more than 5 seconds) or 2-3 puffs in a row then an inhale (or puff, puff, suck and inhale). Am I doing something wrong? Also, I notice I get much better vap AND throat hit with a long long pull (or puff, puff suck and inhale).

2. when playing around and not really inhaling the vap (ie, my puffing from above), I seem to get a nic buzz just from the vap in my mouth. and a few seconds later numbness in my mouth. Only problem is, it doesn't cure my need for a throat hit/lung hit. So, this plays in with #1. also, not really curing my nic fit, but it seems to make me sleepy for a few minutes. What's up? Hope my body doesn't want those nasty chems!

3. There are a ton of FAQs on here, but most are videos. Where's all the FAQs in written form?

Anyhow, I have a bunch of empty carts, replacment atomizers and a ton of juice coming (sampler pack.. woohoo!). So I'm looking forward to more flavors than tobbacco and double mint (which is pretty good BTW).

Thanks!

Sounds to me like you are experiencing Automatic Battery Syndrome.

Hopefully you will eventually learn to make it work well for you.
But if not, then manual batteries will make you very happy.

But in the meantime, and since your 401 has an exposed atomizer, I would suggest dipping.
That might just make you happy with what you already have.

Vaping is quite a bit different than smoking an analog. A few quick primer puffs are good to pre-heat the atomizer. Follow that with a long slow draw. If you draw too long, the battery will automitically cut power to the atomizer. Seems like you have that figured out. Some batteries limit the amount of puffs you can do in a short period of time which can fool you into thinking something is wrong. If you got user instructions, take a look at them.

Your second point about numbness in the mouth is something I do not recall reading about. Keep tabs on that; it might be unusual. Your nicotine buzz might be a slight case of a) vaping a lot and/or b) hyperventilating. These things are wicked great pacifier for the first few weeks; it is hard to put them down.
