Normal for the snowwolf200w box mod to patina?

I thought it was more of a copper/brass thing. Im not exactly sure if its patina, but on the places where my hand comes into contact with the mod, theres been darkening of the metal, I tried rubbing and cleaning it off but it wont. It looks liek its been torched with a flame or something. It gives it character. Although I wonder if this is normal or I just have some weird hands with funk on them.

I dont have a snowwolf (yet). Is that edge aluminum or stainless?

this is what im talking about here, you can see on the bottom around the '200W' it kind of turned to a sort of purple/bluish rainbow.
