Guess what our Kangaroo up the street got in yesterday... yep- e-cigs- I haven't seen 'em- Hubby came home and told me they had them up there for $50-
I am going to have to go check em out- see if it is a whole kit- one model a disposable or what...
Has anyone noticed what kangaroo's up there are carrying?

I think it is the Njoys. I would love to get confirmation on what your husband saw and the price. Who knows, prices do seem to be declining in some areas.

Yep... checked it out today and the Kangaroo here got the Njoy-
$50 and I didn't see the whole thing but it appears it is one batt, one atty, and charger- maybe 5 carts...
It is a very small box, so not much is in it- it is about the size of 2 packs of cigarettes sitting side by side- a very small box...
The cartridges were there too, sold seperately - didn't get a price since I am not even interested in the least in an Njoy- sry- I should have... just for comparison purposes for you guys- They also have it stuck way back to the back left side of the counter... can't see them- you would have to ask if they have them... Not very good advertising at all IMO- They should have them smack dab in themiddle of the cigarettes w/ the box sitting up and some boxes of carts sitting around it- then someone would actually see it- (basic cig color in a white box) very visible in between cartons of cigs behind the counter... I'm just sayin'...LOL
Anyway, to address Chief... I don't like ordering through the internet... I am still so leary of it- that is why I use one specific account I have so if anything happens, that gets closed and no harm done- not attached to any of my other accounts at all- I hate paypal w/ a passion due to a bad experience about 8 yrs ago... they are crooked and only out for themselves... I am glad many suppliers changed their payment method...
But in buying from a local retailer, I would like the convenience for parts but I wouldn't want to hurt the suppliers I have grown to love due to brick & mortar ... It would be nice to have an option to "pick up" locally but not compromise their business over the net... Seems their biggest business is internet and for big business to walk in and tramp over them because the big retailers have finally seen the light, I don't believe is fair... (I know that is not what makes the world go round but whatever) LOL
Our suppliers are who educated us on our endeavors, gave us the additional info so we could research more on our own, helped put forums together with their info, links, etc- helped provide us with videos, contests to motivate videos, etc and opened our eyes to the possibilities of vaping...
Just seeing a box in a quick stop w/ an electronic cigarette priced at $50- is not a great introduction into vaping... My $0.02>>>
I was kind of disappointed to see them in the quick stop- and I believe I would have been disappointed as well even if it was the 401 (my choice pv) but that's just me...

Well PayPal actually got sued for allowing e-cig purchases, hence why you rarely see any online sites offering it. Most of the Kangaroos that I have seen the N-Joys in have had them hidden away like beside the lottery ticket thing. I think in all honesty they aren't supposed to be selling them. I spoke with someone not long ago who ( don't want to divulge to much info ) was responsible for getting them into some of the gas stations and he told me that they all got pulled and they are just moving what they already had in stock. Back to the net issue, I have bought MANY things online, and wayyyyyy to much e-cig stuff from various vendors and I can tell you that every vendor I have dealt with regarding e-cigs have been 100% awesome. Any small hiccups I may have had in my order was rectified and then some.

Wow....I HAVE really been absent from this thread!! 4 pages of posts for me to read through!!

Hello to all! I am new to the e-cig scene as well as my husband- We both just received our units this past Friday & Monday- I have the Dragon and my husband has the Sidesho-
We are very pleased with both units-
We are in Cameron which is between fayetteville/Ft Bragg and Sanford- I can drive to Raleigh in the same time it takes me to get to the South side of Fayetteville- & I very often do...
I see a meet soon in Durham- We won't be able to make that one but we are definitely open to others!
ay guys- Hope to see ya around at some point- I did see a few Fayettenam's on here- close to us as well since we are about 10 miles outside of Ft Bragg- maybe a local small meet?
Will check back!

I'm in Greenville, S.C.

I live in Charlotte NC. Good to sse some locals here. I just ordered my first E- Cig. Should be here next week. If you are local give me a shout. E - Mail is : tesla@carolina.rr.com

Hello all. I live in Raleigh. Question; anybody knows if there is juice to buy locally in the Raleigh area?

I'm a student in Raleigh. Haven't received my order yet (coming from China) but I suspect I'll like it over this Am. Spirit rolling tobacco. I couldn't read through the entire thread but I'd like to know is there a local vendor here in Raleigh or nearby? I know Buddha's Belly has/had one but when I talked to the guy on the phone, he didn't know anything about it, couldn't tell me what model it was and said it was $89.99!!!

Hey guys.... I am in Asheville. Just got my first kit last week. It was a Joye 510. Been getting the hang of things but am enjoying it immensely so far. I am always on the lookout for other vapers now when I am out.

First, let me take a moment to join in on welcoming all the new vapers to vaping and new people to this NC thread!! You guys have been doing an amazing job at keeping this thread going!! :thumb:

Thx for the Welcome guys! I am also pleased to see so many NC peeps that vape-
*Had no idea we had our own little vaping company here (Blu Cig)- although I didn't choose that supplier or model after much deliberation...

*Have never seen in any mall a kiosk or otherwise selling e-cigs (and I go to Raleigh quite often as well as Greensboro-friends and corporate)

*Can't believe w/ all my internet browsing, I have never come across them before this past month!

Well, pleased all the same that we are now vapers (I do still grab an analog or 3 throughout the day-Hey better than the first couple days, I could still barely put them down)
Hope to meet up with you guys at some point along the meet schedule- That would be cool.

Luv, if you ever get the itch to see a mall kiosk, I'm told (although I haven't verified it personally yet....but am dying to do so) that a Smoking Anywhere kiosk is running at the Cary Town Center Mall. I've talked to several customer who have been there and all the "stories" about them seem to be true.

Not from N. C. but my daughter lives in Raleigh, so, of course, I'm there maybe a month, or more, off and on during the year.

Leaving Illniois and arriving in Raleigh the 28th.
Anxious to see my daughter, son-in-law and my granddaughter.

jj2....anytime we can get a meeting going around your visitation schedule would be wonderful. Sorry I missed your post about your recent visit. :(

We obviously have enough interest in more gatherings....looks like we'll have to seriously plan a RDU Triangle gathering in the near future for those that can't make it to Charlotte for the upcoming one. Bulldog44 and I had initially raised the idea....but I know, speaking for myself, I've become rather overwhelmed with business and such that I could not actively set one up. Please chime in with places and dates for anyone interested in a Triangle area gathering!!

TnA,
I'd be all up for the Triangle too! WAaaaaaY closer- LOL (Drive is no big thing to us though)
I still am not too sure of various places in the Raleigh/ Greensboro area that we could meet at though- I have been to various meeting places up there for a variety of things but never took notice if smoking/vaping would have been an issue or not... (at that time I was just a smoker and you become conditioned to accept that you are NOT accepted...) LOL
Rudinos in Greensboro I believe may be an option...and they have an outside patio too... (The one by the Hotel Plaza place thingy- LOL I would have to get the addy) Other than that I will have to do some checking around- who else is close in that area besides TnA??

Luv...sorry....I asked a moderator to remove a post that could have potentially been in violation of my supplier status, but he seems to have cleaned house on a few extra posts! :p (but thank you for the quick work, mods!!) I would love to participate in a RDU gathering.....it's been several months since our last one and we are sorely overdue for one....especially since there have been many new vapers in the area to join our fold. However, something I posted in the other forum (that cannot be named here) is my opinion that it should be at an establishment that is vaper friendly and comfortable (good food and drinks). An establishment that we had considered was going to place us in the smokers area and I find that to be highly unacceptable (and therefore, not vaper friendly) since we all got started on these amazing devices to get away from analogs and all the nastiness and harmful side effects associated with them. As long as Rudino's does not place us in a smoking area, I think it's a good suggestion. Let's get this set up and get the word out! (and hopefully some of our brethren from the Charlotte and Winston-Salem areas will be able to join us)

Hey all, Charlotte here. Near harrisburg, Charlotte address though. I am on the Cabarrus/Meck line. When anyone places any orders, let me know, would love to combine shipping costs. I am also looking into opening a local retail store. Has anyone looked into this yet? What complications would we be facing?

Hey Winace - Welcome to our little slice of the pie here at ECF!

We are having a get together on 11/14/09 at Mario's Pizza and John's Place in Matthews! You should come and join us for sure!! :D

I may do just that! It depends alot on how much I get my wife into vaping between now and then!

Hey y'all. I live in Charleston SC now, but I lived in Wilmington NC for 26 years. Can I join your group? There doesn't seem to be enough people here from SC who are signing up for the SC forum. I make the trip to Wilmington every couple of months to see friends so Im in the area a lot.

Hey CNubel, I doubt there will be a problem with you joining. Wow, Charleston and Wilmington, two awesome cities. I love Charleston, one of my favorite places I have ever been.
