Hey CNubel, I doubt there will be a problem with you joining. Wow, Charleston and Wilmington, two awesome cities. I love Charleston, one of my favorite places I have ever been.

I'm a bit of a beach bum...really a salt water bum is a better description. I can't stay in a place too long that isn't close to the ocean. I lived in St. Louis for 5 years and really wanted to get back to the east coast. Good to be back and good to be hooked up with everyone here at the forum.

Hey y'all. I live in Charleston SC now, but I lived in Wilmington NC for 26 years. Can I join your group? There doesn't seem to be enough people here from SC who are signing up for the SC forum. I make the trip to Wilmington every couple of months to see friends so Im in the area a lot.

I don't live in N. C. either and I joined. My daughter lives there so a spend a month, maybe two, there during the year.

I may do just that! It depends alot on how much I get my wife into vaping between now and then!
From my name u can surmise that I began vaping and immediate dropped from 2 packs a day to 1 pack every 4-5 days. That was in April - so I tell people who are reluctant to quit analogs. Don;t quit - just try this especially in places you normally can't smoke. In my case it was smoking in the house. I have been currently 98% vaping and the analogs are mostly smoked in the car when my PV needs something. Another Barrera, juice etc. I found myself preferring the vaping over the analogs. Ithas been such a painless transition. Cutting down on the amount of nic is a scene:)

I totally agree. My wife is kind of stubborn and don't like to mess with things. I need to approach it correctly and set her up on a good menthol with a device which "just works". She wants to quite and says she can at any time (her excuse was I wasn't quitting (oops!)). Well, I've quit, now time to get her on board. As I said, it is a delicate transaction and will turn her off vaping alltogether if the first experience is not a good one. She attempted the NPRO for 1 day, so I already have an obstacle to overcome! I let it be and let her smoke her analogs while I get a thorough understanding of what is available in the realm of vaping.

Hey all, just wanted to add my voice here. I live in Pinehurst NC, work in Hamlet NC, and regularly visit family in HorseShoe NC (near Asheville). Unfortunately for the purposes of meets and what-not, I'm a single father so my ability to participate in distant gatherings is pretty severely curtailed by childcare responsibilities.

Got two friends in the Moore county area started on vaping with a loan of some of my laid-in survive-a-ban hardware overstock. A third (co-worker) I turned on to vaping ordered himself an EVOlution but has relapsed to ciggys, and is (as I type this) at the doctors' learning the extent of his second bout with lung cancer.

Anyhow, just wanted to touch base with the NC vapers.

Luv...sorry....I asked a moderator to remove a post that could have potentially been in violation of my supplier status, but he seems to have cleaned house on a few extra posts! :p (but thank you for the quick work, mods!!) I would love to participate in a RDU gathering.....it's been several months since our last one and we are sorely overdue for one....especially since there have been many new vapers in the area to join our fold. However, something I posted in the other forum (that cannot be named here) is my opinion that it should be at an establishment that is vaper friendly and comfortable (good food and drinks). An establishment that we had considered was going to place us in the smokers area and I find that to be highly unacceptable (and therefore, not vaper friendly) since we all got started on these amazing devices to get away from analogs and all the nastiness and harmful side effects associated with them. As long as Rudino's does not place us in a smoking area, I think it's a good suggestion. Let's get this set up and get the word out! (and hopefully some of our brethren from the Charlotte and Winston-Salem areas will be able to join us)

Hiya TnA, Yeah I noticed a long break in the conversation there... LOL
I agree, a place that is comfortable and doesn't shun us to the smoking area... I am asking a friend of mine up there of other places around the area too-
If anyone is open to come South we can always try Doc's at the Capital, bentley's, or Itz...

Hi and welcome Winace.....read what you posted about your wife and just wanted to chime in that I completely understand and I think I am safe in saying that we are all here to help you out whenever/if you think you need it! :)

Hi and welcome newkirk....we're pretty close neighbors. I'm in the edge of Fayetteville towards Raeford. Nice job on introducing pv's to others! :thumb: Looks like we'll have to try to have a small low-key meet-up in your neck of the woods to make it easier for you to attend, huh? :)

Newbie reporting from outside Boone NC. Been vapin' on my 401 for two days and lovin' it!

Welcome Turbo and congratulations! Glad to hear your enjoying your pv!!

Hey Luv....I don't get out much....but I'll definitely make it a point to start looking for pv-friendly locales around here. I'm pretty sure some fellow vapers will be happy to join us from Winston-Salem and Charlotte areas <hint><hint> However, we may want to look for one up in the RDU area since more new vapers are up there. Either way, I'm game! :D

BTW mamacat.....love the new avatar and sig line!!!:thumbs:

A big Welcome to Turbo & Laynz... TwixTween, I know from another forum & welcome- good to see ya here too-
This forum seems to get a bit more activity still and is also very beneficial Twix, you'll like it for what you can get in info here!
TnA, I am game too- LOL It would be cool to find a few more establishments that support or are at least intrigued by our alternative methods enough to allow us to meet in their places- I hate that so many first speak about having to clear w/ corporate... & some that I have run into are concerned about customers not knowing what it is and being offended if they see "smoke"- I am still checking around though...
Hey! Turbo is looking for a local juice supplier! I told him about the fairgrounds in Raleigh but didn't know what "supplies" were carried there in totality- If anyone has any info to give I am sure he'd appreciate it-

Hello fellow North Carolinians! I'm located in Raleigh. I'm new to vaping (and to the forum).

Welcome Laynz and glad to have you here! What model pv are you using? Some of us have been discussing having a gathering in the RDU area, so if you're interested, check back often. If you have a suggestion for a friendly place, by all means, please chime in!

Well....just to insure I'm staying within the rules of the forum, anyone who wants to know details just needs to pm me and I will run their ear off about what I'm stocking! :D

Boone here. Go Mountaineers!;)

Welcome Hunter! Not only do you have an awesome modder and overall vape stud by the name of breakfastchef, but you also have our newly chimed-in Turbo in your area! So, it sounds like Boone might be ready to start their own vaper group! If y'all are interested and don't mind the drive, our next planned gathering will be the Charlotte Vapers on the 14th....consider joining us 'cause it's a blast! We've also had a great time in Winston-Salem and have conducted several "low-key" gatherings in Raleigh and are currently trying to set up another one in either Fayetteville or the RDU area. Any input is greatly appreciated definitely welcome!! :)

I'll be arriving in Raleigh mid day Wednesday to visit my daughter.

By the way, welcome!!!

jj2, how long will you be in town? If it's only for a short period, I'll happily make my way to visit with a fellow vaper! Any other RDU-area people interested in a impromptu gathering in honor of our visiting vaper? :)

Woot!

And I didn't need a PM from you! LOL

So have any of our newest NC Vapers chimed in with a PM yet?

Come on guys(and gals)! This is so totally worth the drive!!! Heck...make a weekend out of it and enjoy a new place you wouldn't normally go to!

Here's what I put myself through to attend:
Friday night: go to bed around 1am.
Saturday: 5am: wake-up and load up the truck
6am: drive to Raleigh to work
3pm: close up shop and drive to Charlotte
party with the Charlotte vapers and eventually get to sleep at some time in the night/morning
Sunday: 4am: get up and drive from Charlotte back to Raleigh
6pm: close up shop and drive home from Raleigh to Fayetteville

By the time I get home on Sunday, I'm a total wreck.....but I'll keep doing it because our gatherings are such a blast!!!
