So I just made a post in the newbie forum about battery safety and turns out - mine are not that safe, so I'm wanting to buy new, better quality ones. I've got a few problems.

1. I can't drive at all, and even if I get a ride, the closest city is 2 hours away and not a trip I make very often.

2. I can only buy through direct banking - because of being on disability, I don't qualify for a credit card, and my bank doesn't do blank cheques for paypal.

However; I can probably get my fiance to order them for me and I just pay him back.

The question is (After all that nonsense...) - where can I order batteries from that are reliable, "safe", and authentic? Is there such a place in Alberta or even Canada?

You can purchase a pre-paid or gift credit card just about everywhere nowadays from your pharmacy, supermarket or bank, no need for the pre-approved charade the card companies require.
Visa Gift Cards - Give the Gift of Choice | Visa.ca
Visa Travellers Cheques | Visa.ca

As for batteries I doubt there is an affordable alternative locally or nationally for that matter, the profit margin for local vendors is just too high to make them viable.

My favorite source at the moment is Gearbest, you can purchase 2x Samsung INR18650-25R5 for under $8usd shipped these days. It takes about 14 days for deliver from the Netherlands, Gearbest is shipping batteries out by air from the Netherlands to avoid using surface freight that might otherwise take two months if it was shipped from Asia.
