I'm three weeks without a cigarette and into vaping. This morning I woke up and noticed I was getting a nose bleed and its been on and off throughout the day. I literally haven't had one since I was 12 or something. IS this normal or something I should worry about? I have been exhaling through my nostrils, out of bad habit.. but I have also been drinking fluids throughout the day as well.

Thanks!

You aren't hydrating enough. Drink more water plain or with whatever flavoring you like in it as long as it doesn't contain caffeine which also dehydrates. One thing that help me a lot before I started DIYn was to add just a couple or a few drops of distilled water right into my clearo filled with juice. This helped especially when nose exhaling. So many people here give advice to stay hydrated but they don't say how much liquid is required. For me it meant to drink at least half a bottle of water (the 1 pt + size) or half a can of pop for every half hour of chain vaping. It didn't mean to chain vape for two hours and then drink a can of pop. Anyway, its way more liquid than I ever drank and way more often than I drank before and seemed like a lot but I've gotten used to it.

Edit: messin with PG or VG ratios is not going to help. Both of them dehydrate. Adding some distilled water will help though and will help your juice wick better also if you vape a high VG juice.

When I first started vaping I didn't have a problem, and I've been smoking alice in vapeland's juices so IDK if they are PG based. Anyway, maybe I just haven't been drinking enough water, but I have a hard time staying away from coffee. >.<

I'm from Massachusetts so it is cold, but even then, I haven't had a nosebleed in years.

You could do a saline rinse for your nose. It helps hydrate. I actually having a saline sinus flushing bottle because I get SO DRY at work. I drive a bus and the heat is running constantly and by the end of my shift I am a desert. Maybe you were hydrated enough before vaping for it not to happen and not hydrated enough now. Its been so COLD this winter...

Everyone's body is different and, yes, climate can change the usual needs. I live in Arizona where its very dry most of the time. What I gave is a good starting point. Basically, half a bottle (the small size one) of water every half hour. You will know when you're getting enough liquid by how often you hit the bathroom. If you're drinking more than you need that will be more often. Your body is either going to use the liquid or get rid of what it isn't.

You're dehydrated. Yellow, smelly pee in the morning is a sure sign. Your body lacks the fluid to moisturize your mucus membranes. Hence the bleeding from cracked skin.

But it isn't like that the rest of my day, only in the morning. The human body is also busy filtering all the grossness out of your system while you're sleeping.
