Been vaping my ego t cig for over a week now and for the last few days have been getting the nasty burnt taste pretty much all the time, think the atty is a goner! Tryed boiling it, dry vaping, pushing down the wick, still burnt taste. Received a new atty today, screwed it on and now the battery light just blinks at me for 5 times every time i press it, charged the battery and still blinks, screwed my other atty on, works fine and now have to vape with the burnt taste as nothing else and no analogs! Soo unhappy right now :-(( looks like i'll have to spend yet more money and get the boge carts. Is anyone else feeling my pain?
Not a nice vape with the ego t!!!

I started with an ego t setup and fortunately bought a cartomizer dct set-up as well. I tried to get the tank to work right, but the DCT was so consistent and easy to use that I just never really tried the ego tank after that. I think you will be happy with the cartomizer and you could later get a tank to add a juice reservoir.
Sounds like you new atty is shorting out. Try calling the supplier you got it from and try to get a replacement. As an alternative, you may want to try some cartomizers. They are less finicky than the eGo-T attys and provide a more consistent vape.

I had the same problem almost right away with one of my atties... so I was put of. I tried another I had laying around yesteraday. It was better, but I agree with DCB305 that cartomizers are much nicer. I cant really go back... DCT are nice to but not always for being out among people. 
Lana Get the Boge cartos asap - you'll wonder how you lived without them after a while. Atties can be great but require too much fiddling to get going. I bought 6 packs of the Boges about 4 months back and haven't needed to buy any more for ages. You can clean them over and over and 9/10 they taste great too- make sure liquid is thin though -not all VG. I'll do a Boge maintainance tips page on my blog soon - will post when ready.
Hey Welcome , and forget the tanks , their more trouble than their worth , in my opinion . I have a few Ego-T's sitting around the house , but have gone to some EGO based tank / carto's I got from Got Vapes . They work great , and produce lots of vapor , for using such a low voltage . Go to their site and check em out . Work way better than the DCT tanks , someone mentioned . Good Luck .
Yes I know that feeling too... Started with ego-t some time ago, I use cartomisers as easy and quick, trying to build an atomiser I can re build now, cartomisers are about the best for simplicity and reliability, and they don't leak!
Don't give up, vaping really is the way forward...
I bought an Ego-T kit and absolutely despised it. It never tasted right, and the vapor was much too cool for my liking. It also seemed to be a bit leaky. I ended up trying a dual coil carto tank on it and didn't care much for that either. I ended up using low resistance single coil carto's in the tank and have been pretty satisfied with it. A lot of people really like low resistance carto's it seems. Don't get discouraged though. Sometimes it takes a bit to find what works for you.

So i bought some empty Boge 2.7 ohm cartomisers from Liberty Flights for my ego t with a drip tip, i am in love with how classy it looks with the ego cone but now need help on filling them as using the condom method, i have used it twice in the past few hours, after only getting a handfull of decent throat hits although amount of vape is more then expected. So was wondering how much should i be filling these babies? Don't really want to be filling them every few vapes as would be really annoying and am now puffing on an analog that my sister left me "just incase".
Hi Lana, Your just using a standard ego battery thats right? If your using a standard battery your using too high an ohm of carto, what you really need is a low resistance (1.5 ohm carto) or at most a 2 ohm one because you wont get any decent heat from a 2.7 thats too high for a standard battery.
As for the condom method and how often to fill it depends what size of carto you have and how heavy a vaper you are but you really would only to use the condom method a couple of times a day, what I would usually do is when I am sitting late on I would use the condom method to totally fill my carto and then next day just top it up by dripping in the top the odd time but you will get hours out of a single condom fill, just when you notice that there isnt as much of a hit or taste then its time for a refill or topup.
Hope some of that makes sense.

First fill of a carto is VERY important. Also important when pushing the carto down into the condom of juice do it VERY slowly. Afterwards when you need a refill, as poster noted above, just drip some juice in the top trying to not to get any in the air passage.

I fill but not by the condom method and it works great.
Take a round toothpick and gently insert it into the airhole on the filler end just until it's snug..don't force it...just snug.
It takes 25-30 drops to fill a Boge so start dripping and counting. Let sit for 20 minutes when you get 25 drops in it. If it can take some more, add them. Let sit a little longer. Remove toothpick, add drip tip, and vape.
