Not a smoker/vaper, just a gadget lover

Hey everyone, I just came across this forum. I'm not a smoker, and don't intend to smoke, however I have an undying passion for gadgets, and e cigs are definitely fascinating little devices. I was basically just looking into the subject of e cigs when I cam across this forum, so I thought I'd drop in!

Anywho, I find it interesting that seemingly all e cig users are people who had been smokers previously and used e cigs to kick the habbit.

Is there anyone here that just started with vaping and never actually smoked?

There may be some out there, but none that I have run into. These really are best for those who have smoked, and want to save their life by not inhaling smoke

I've only come across one that would sorta fit. Ex smoker and there are just those days that he wants to pick up a cigarette finds them interesting. Hasn't gotten one yet, and hopefully he doesn't. But he said if he ever did he'd probably do the no nic juice.

Good question though. I hope there aren't any out there, but I'd also be curious to know if e-cigs 'enticed' someone into vaping. Might as well get the 'whole' truth if there is.

For some reason I just can't see why any non-smokers would want to vape, but I suppose some will.

If you want my honest opinion (keep in mind that I'm a gadget geek myself, but I was also a smoker) I think you should steer clear of this one. There are plenty of electronic toys out there. This is not one of them. Buy yourself one of those new holographic keyboards or something.

Actually why wouldnt someone want to try it ? You can get flavored with 0mg Nicotine. Theres alot of people who smoke clove cigarettes for the taste not becasue they are addicting. A hooka (spelling?) also has very minimal if any nicotine at all as well and lots of people puff that.

Heh, I don't plan to start or anything (I'm one of those "weird" college kids who doesn't drink/smoke/party or the like), I just thought it was an interesting question. It's funny that the FDA doesn't consider them as stop smoking aids, but that's pretty much all they're used for.

Devil's Advocate here:

I've got a GF that does not smoke, does not want to be a nicotine addict, and just wanted to blow some "smoke rings" for the first time in her life. I hooked her up a 510 and made some nic-free juice with PG/Wiltons and loranns. I showed her how to do mouth pulls and blow rings. I still told her that it would be stupid to do it all the time. She only does it when we are through the first bottle of wine and bored on the weekends. I don't really see anything wrong with it. It would be expensive and dumb just to blow rings if you were a non-smoker, and didn't know someone like me that is replete with e-cig apparatus.
