Not able to get resolution results from KidneyPuncher.com

Hi,

:ohmy:I purchased the Aspire nautilus from KidneyPuncher and received a damaged tank from them. The tank has the bottom pin sticking out of the bottom and when I was trying originally to fasten it to my innokin Itaste 134 it was hard to screw on. Naturally I thought this was odd, but continue to fasten it on. I have other tanks and after just 2 weeks of using the Aspire I realized when trying my other tanks on my Itaste 134 the Aspire had stripped the threading due to the tightness and non of other tanks are fitting on the Itaste 134 now. I contacted them due to the Aspire damaging my Itaste and they are refusing to resolve this matter. I can't get a hold of anyone there by phone, and they have started to ignore my emails. Craig sent me an email about a good time to call me and he never called and is now ignoring my email. I would think they are responsible for my damaged items since the Aspire was faulty to begin with.

Do you know of another way to contact KidneyPuncher? the site will not allow me to create another ticket for help and I'm not getting response to my email. I have a picture of the Aspire with the pin sticking out. I took it to a reputable local vape store and they showed me the Aspire they had and that is how I know mine was faulty to begin with. They did not have anymore for sale hence the reason I sent it by online means.

If anyone has any insight on this please let me know!!

You received an ill fitting tank, and instead of returning it, and NOT using it...

You used it and it subsequently damaged your equipment.

And Kidney Puncher is responsible for this damage?

Does the aspire have an adjustable 510 pin? Have you taken the atomizer apart to see if there was a problem with the unit that is making the 510 pin protrude unnaturally?

OR, did you in fact just CRANK IT ON and against common sense and reason break your mod?

I mean, come on.

I'm sure they would have exchanged the defective and UNUSED merchandise. Almost every vape place has some form of buyer protection even if it's only a DOA warranty. I think that would have qualified. A quick gentle spin on and noticing it would not secure to the 510 properly should have been enough warning things were not going to go well.

I just got mine today from a different supplier and the pin is raised just like that, however there's rubber around it that allows it to push down, and spring back. It worked, and attached just fine to my Smok VV Winders, Sigelei zmax v5, iTaste mvp 2, and my ProVari. It seems to me it may be made that way due to some connectors tending to push up the center pin in some tanks (My Zmax does that, it needs a dedicated tank or I have to fiddle with the center pin on my tanks to use them after being on the zmax).

Maybe the threading on yours was bad, but the center pin seems to be in that position as a feature.

I could be wrong, others will correct me if so. But yeah once you had trouble screwing it on, you really should have stopped. Hope you get it figured out. It's really a great tank.

I second that motion....

Welcome to the forum, Need2Vap3.

:)

I don't want to sound unfriendly, but I think the others are right: I can't imagine how Kidney Puncher could possibly be held liable for anything.

Maybe next time you could consult the folks on ECF before proceeding? I've found most venders pretty cooperative, but I don't think you'll find anybody willing to replace stuff after you've used and abused it.

I took this right off of the vendors site on for the product in question. 7 Day DOA Only Warranty if you choose Priority Mail Shipping. First Class Mail = No Warranty
No Non-Defective Returns

With that being said everyone above was right, the OP waited 2 weeks to report a possible defect which is beyond the vendors timeline. So there they don't have any liability to replace anything, other then common niceness. Trying to get them to replace a mod whether they were the vendor of it or not is very unreasonable. If you had a battery failure and tried to get the battery vendor, to replace they mod they wouldn't. every time you attach something to something you assume the risk of it breaking not the vendor.

Hi everyone,

I know :( You are all right actually! I should have contacted them right away! Thank you all for the feedback. I do know the pin should not be sticking out like that, well I know now because I took it somewhere and I'm newbie at vaping, they showed me how it should look. I do like Kidney Puncher a lot. I did contact them, but they at first didn't want to replace it and now they are replacing it for me. Lesson learned! I appreciate all your feedback! Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Kidney Puncher are a great vendor - I am not surprised they agreed to replace it for you even after you used it.

I would highly recommend them for their customer service alone, but they also sell some cool stuff. I use their 510 atomizers (long barrel, 1.5 ohm) which are comparable to some of the best ones out there.

I'm not affiliated with KP, I just appreciate a vendor that actually cares about their fellow vapers.

Glad you got this sorted OP, maybe stick around the forum and make some friends... :toast:
