As is customary when new information surfaces I post about it.
The following video depicts that with my first IO6 atty I was indeed getting 20+ hits out of a refresh. I was understandably peeved when someone call bullocks on the claim. That being said in retrospect I did find it kind of odd that I was getting as many hits out of a top off. The atty is still performing at the same rate, amidst a scorching and a revival. I have no explanation for this...
My second LR is not performing as well as the first. That being said it is performing on par with the remainder of atties out there, 10-12 hits on a top off. My HV IO6s are performing as expected 8-10 hits <---- to be expected at HV.
Conclusion...
Since I mix my own liquids, consistency is there and with the exception of flavouring, they are consistant wrt viscosity. It has been discussed in the past that liquids will affect performance. That being said, I either have an outstanding first IO6 or the liquid I am vaping in the 2nd one does not produce the results as previously experienced.
Other variables...
My 2nd unit is fitted to the 7mm fired by a 14500 IMR, whilst the 1st is fitted to the P18 fired by an 18650 LI Ion. Today I will be swapping out atties between devices and see if there is a change if any in performance. Although I doubt I will see any change, I have to remove that factor out of the equation.
The test will be conducted over the next few days, starting with a simple swapping of devices. Tomorrow I will swap liquids and see if that produces different results.
I will keep folks posted as to the results of this experiment.
