So I recently bought an e-slick macro and tried charging it for a few hours. When I set it back up and tried to use it the light just blinks. Why is this happening and why didn't it charge?

Do you think it's a problem with the product itself or could it of been the way I charged it?
Like Sthur said check your center pin and make sure it starts charging when you plug it in. Also make sure you are using the correct charger. If looks good and starts the charging process but never charges you likely have a dead eGo battery. You can take a multimeter and check the voltage...
I don't think that's the problem. It's not that it's not hitting when I have it set up the light on my button just flashes like 10 times. Do you think that has to do with my battery? Could I have got juice inbetween it and fried it or something?
10 flashes on eGo batteries means the battery is low I don't remember the exact voltage off hand (3.3 or 3.4v maybe)
You need to charge it with an DC 4.2V 420mA USB charger, it should take around 2 hours or more. All you can do it check it with a multimeter to see the voltage.

Does your charger turn red when you screw the battery into it? Or does it just stay green?
There are a number of possible issues... faulty USB port, faulty wall adapter, faulty battery...

Sorry I was wrong it is actually flashing 15 times not 10 but to answer your question the light is staying green when I plug my battery in not changing to red
Okay. Have you tried taking a toothpick and trying up on the center connector of the battery? It seems as though the center pin and the charger are not making contact...
Then it is either not making contact or the charger is faulty. Do you have any other batteries or chargers?
This is going to be a bit advanced - but perhaps putting a little blob of solder on the center pin of the charger would help the battery make contact. Either that, or a small piece of metal... I recommend the solder route because no matter what, *do not short the center pin to the outside thread*, this will short the charger and potentially make for an uncomfortable situation. Short of trying another charger, this is the only solution I can come up with... now, if the problem is with the battery's center pin being too recessed, you will need to return/exchange your product as it is defective. I'm hoping it's the charger that is defective...
Take some paper towel and wipe out the top of the battery and also the little nubbin end of your charger. Always keep these clean. Plug in the wall box part of the charger, screw on the usb cable to your eGo style battery, plug eGo/usb into wall box. I have found out that with mine if it's a bit dirty or I move it around, even the slightest bit it will not work properly. When that happens I disconnect everything and start over. The chargers are really cheap garbage, well the wall box part is anyway. If you don't disconnect and reconnect it all it seems to fault the battery, in a sense you're resetting it.

No other batteries or charger but I just bought it last Wednesday so I feel like they should be fine. Should I just try a different battery and see if it works?
I'm thinking I'm just going to have to buy a different battery and see if that's the problem
Well, where I work, we always throw questionable batteries on our charger to troubleshoot the problem. I always use a small flathead screwdriver to slowly work up that center pin, but that could just fall back down very soon. Take it back where you purchased it and see if they can throw it on another charger or whatnot. Also if its only been a couple days they are more than likely able to swap or exchange the kit. I know we don't exchange tanks or liquids for sanitary reasons, but if defective there should be no problems. If they are not willing to work with you, find another B&M ASAP!

Good to see someone who works at a vape store. Would you say its fairly common for units to come back to the store? When you speak of questionable battery, I took it that its not that uncommon.

The usual cause of a center contact not touching is excessive force when installing the atomizer. The center pin is suspended in a silicone insulator. Push too hard and it recedes back into the insulator and doesn't contact the charger center pin or the one on the atomizer.
As long as you don't press the fire button, you can use tweezers or a flat mini screwdriver to work the center pin back up until it makes contact again. Once you raise it up a little, install your atomizer gently until it makes contact and then give it no more than 1/8" turn to snug it down. Overtightening will just result in damage and failure to make contact with the atomizer again.
This is a common problem. Be gentle.
