I didnt like the 510 cartos from Ikenvape either. Too "airy". I really like the prefilled ones from Litecig (hope I didn't just break any forum rules). ...

Yes, I am afraid you did break a forum rule Shady Grady.

You now have to send everyone who has posted in this thread 30ml of e-juice of a flavor of their choice and you are on 1 year probation. ;)

I would advise against turning the center flange of a CARTOMIZER with a screw driver.

The reason being is that the atomizer wire is conected to the center flange and it is easy to break.

Seems to me that pluging one of the side air holes is a safer method.

Yes... this is a VERY BAD idea.

You can easily damage the cartomizer this way. And it is also possible to short-out the cartomizer via doing this.. which can damage your battery (permanently).

I've been using a drop of superglue to plug one of the holes.
If you can find it the 'gel' version of the glue works really well.

I've done that to and it works primo. Just ahve to remember to not screw the battery on the carto untill the s-glue is fully dried! ;)

Bad Idea turning the screw, your twisting the coil inside as well and like Scott said can damage your battery or possibly worse. Think of the exploding batteries in mods.

Yes I am glad Scott jumped in,, but FWIW I was first and scott supported the statement...

@Scott thanks for staying on it

I had also read somewhere about turning the end of a cartomizer to adjust the air flow and I've tried it on two different ones and each time it has killed them. I have learned my lesson the hard way.

This is my experience as well, and like an idiot I did my first experiment on cartos that had my 2 favorite flavors in it...argh. It didn't work on the first one so I then tried a second...doh!

Anyhow, for anyone reading, what happened to my cartos is that I had virtually NO draw at all after the "adjustment." It's not like the atty part died, more like some mechanism was closed off so that no flow of air or anything could get through, so in order to get *anything* you'd have to suck like a Dyson vacuum cleaner. And no matter how many times I tried to "re-screw" it back to where I started, it stayed the same.

It's doubtful I would try this again, but I do wonder if I pushed down too hard while using the screwdriver. Probably not, maybe it's just not a good idea for cartos.
