I'm not a vaper personally but my boyfriend is and I want to be able to help him. I got him a predator 228 when I went to visit him in July, he dropped it today and is having trouble fixing it. I want to get him a tool kit so it can be easier for him. Are there any kits that anyone could recommend? I know I could look online but I don't know what I'm looking for specifically since I know nothing about vape pens. I want a good deal for my buck since I want to get it for Christmas. Please help?

First, I want to say with many mods I personally would never try to fix them. The predator is one of them. It isn't the best mod anyway as it is full of issues..
If your boyfriend is someone who will put a mod through the ringer, I would get him a more durable mod that has less items to go wrong on, and that is more conducive to fixing the few things that may go wrong, such as a reo mod.. those are more expensive but well worth it in the end, as he will get years and years worth of use from one even if he drops it on concrete daily.

Outside of that, just do your homework and get him a decent yet less expensive mod, and realize that periodically (every year or two on average) he will need a new mod.

Unfortunately, these things aren't really made to be user friendly as far as fixing things go. If your boyfriend is well versed in electronics and the repair of small items, then any decent electronic tool kit would suffice. Should be able to find decent ones online via Amazon, Fleabay, Newegg, etc.

Smoant Battlestar is a pretty hardy mod & budget friendly. Eleaf mods also good. Pico very popular. I agree with just get him another mod.

If your Boyfriend broke the part that holds the Batteries (what we call a "Mod"), then unfortunately there probably Isn't a simple way to Fix it. And buying a New Mod is likely the Best Option.
If He broke the part that holds the e-Liquid (the Atomizer), it might be Fixable. If it was only the Glass that Broke. Because Replacement Glass for most atomizers is available. And they are Not very expensive.

Agree with previous posts. Could take the mod down to your local B&M vape shop and inquire if they can repair.
Could look into the mod below. A silicone sleeve can add some impact protection to the tap 228.
