This weekend I think my house is getting a scrub down. I'm not a pig or anything, but I am very busy and don't have a whole lot of time to keep up on housework.
This is going to have to change, I can smell dust....... DUST for cryin' out loud!!! 8-o

This blows!!!

ETA: Would people look at me funny if I just went around with Vicks Vapo Rub under my nose all the time?

Heh, I did my time with all of that nonsense! My now 22 year old son has finally figured out personal hygiene is a lovely thing!

The ferrets on the other hand...... They still leave the "bathroom" clean up to me.

I never could deal with perfume and such, always stuffs up my nose and gives me a headache.

I can't wait for my 12 year old to get to that personal hygiene point. It's a mission; everyday I have to remind him to take a shower, if I don't he'll go for days with out
taking one. His mother is in charge of telling him to brush his teeth or the same. The kid is brilliant.Honor roll straight A's, cute, has his own graphix website where he makes and sells banners...and is a real pig. Every couple of days I have to hunt down his dirty socks or his bedroom gets to stinkin'.

Anyway, your nick makes me think of the song 'Politician' by Cream where they sing "I support the left though I'm leaning, leaning to the right"
though lately I've been feeling like their song 'Born Under a Bad Sign'...

I can't stand perfume either..

Regards,

Hazy

Yes. Any ex smoker would notice and look at you funnily..Heck, my nose. 'cause I used to be a dog in a prior life (LOL)
could smell that stuff a block away even when I did smoke.
My boy keeps asking me,"But how can you smell that?"
I say, in a very serious tone, "I used to be my ex wife's dog in another life"...
and he looks at me like I'm nuts. Which of course, I am.

I've taken to sweeping up the dust bunnies and leaving them in little piles all over the house for my wife to find.
Hey, at least I help her. I also put away the dishes for her. I'm so nice (ROFLMAO)

I'm off to listen to some of my blues album collection (on vinyl). I need to sleep.
Though I might end digging up my old blues harp and jam along.
Regards,

Hazy

I have to admit, I've never experienced the smell/taste thing when I've quit smoking. Aside from being more in-tune to how terrible smokers smell (bunch of stinky people, smokers!!!), things are pretty much the same. Sorry you're having some bad experiences but it is worth it, yeah?

Since quitting, I can smell smokers some distance away - but I used to chain smoke. so don't feel inclined to preach.

Even though I can smell cigarette smoke from a long distance I refuse to say a word! I subjected people to my smoke for 33 years, I have no right to say one word!

(I did try very hard to be a polite smoker, but we all know how THAT goes!)

I don't usually say anything, except maybe to my husband -- "I can't believe you put up with that smell for 27 yrs!" -- but I just can't help that awful grimace on my face as I try to close my nostrils. :D
