Tried the ce4 because of it's attractive price but flavor was very muted with hints of burning plastic. Also a very airy draw. Anyone with recommendations on some tanks/clearos that maintain flavor and don't have that dry airy draw?
Hi - CE4s are fussy little critters. I have a bunch of them. The most popular clearo-ish devices tend to be the Vivi Mini Nova and the Kanger T3. Personally, I've been using CE3 XLs for the last couple of weeks and really like them.
I moved from the ce4 to the viva novas. You just have to make sure you give the wicks time to get saturated. Same as the ce4's. Twirl it around for a couple of minutes after filling, in between vapes etc... However I felt like the flavor was muted on my novas as well. I'm currently using carto tanks & love them!! If you want to try carto tanks valley vapes has some at reasonable prices I purchased to see how I would like them. Also check out IBTanked & Phianic ohh & highdesertvapes.

My 1st ce4 coil burn on first vape.. Then switch to vivi nova.. With stock wick its not bad tank.. Mod my vivi nova with SS mesh and the taste is much better plus more vapor produced.. Now been using AGA-T+ with unoxidized wick and very pleased with the result..
I did not like my ce4s at all. Had leaking and other issues. Switched to Vivi nova and now have switched to the Iclear 30 and don't see switching from it though I will probably try the Saturn atomizer and tank setup at some point. Overall very pleased with the iclear 30s I got from Vapor Beast ( vaporbeast.com ). I have heard the iclear 16 is nice as well, same dual coil just a smaller tank and doesn't have the stainless swivel mouthpiece that is on the iclear 30. I would suggest trying the iclear 30 when you can find them in stock.
On my m.v. knockoff ce4's it seems like the stock drip tip is a little too long so when its good n snug it pinches the wicks stopping juice from reaching the atty. Try backing off the tip a lil, just enough to still have a seal. It may help. But these are not my goto devices, i stick to carto tanks.
I started on CE4's but after few duds(wicking issues, one pg/vg separation, one constant priming) I started searching for alternatives. After trying a Kanger T2 I won't be going back to a CE4 again.
I would go with the T2 to get the same style hit with better quality. T3 is a little more airy/dry to me.
