That's just ridiculous... You make yourself look stupid when you complain like a spoiled 8 year old on the forums of a business that is AWESOME in customer service. If something is off, it is up to YOU to tell the company. With so many orders, the only way for them to know would be to be psychic.

I love V4L! <3

Did you quote me because you say I look stupid? Or just because you agree with what I said? I'm confused, lol.

It's funny, but most of these vendors/web sales, do not list ph# or addy. To me that automatically makes me suspicious of the company. To make it even more ironic, they request your ph# and info right off the bat.
So like me, maybe this guy went in with a hesitant attitude to start with, thus this huge rant post going on now.
You see, "some" of us didn't or don't know everything about these products, and "if" a person could just call to get info--this whole post would never happen, but it will happen over and over until companies like V4L and Basically 98% of web companies buck-up and give their info so we customers can feel safe with them, and call to get help.
Flame all you want, but I feel if a company hides its information, then they obviously have something to hide--maybe a scam company, too small to handle things, don't care, can't be bothered...so on and so on.
OK, bring it on, flame me; most of you have responded poorly to my postings since I can sometimes go against the grain here--good or bad...lol!

Now ill be honest - I have ordered From Many Many vendors and own lots of Equipment. But when i got my first V4L package - i was blown away-they fullfilled all of my requests and well beyond my expectations with additonal bonuses. I won't deny that-but a Manual battery stopped working the same day-then another when i received the replacement. So thats why i never posted Kudos about them... Just in dispute now how their replacement program works-buy more to obtain the original items/repeating process(again). Then when i don't want to order-i was advised to send back + shipping to get what i originally paid for.. Just my story

Steve I love you man, not dissin your company--lords knows I love you guys.
That's cool that you finally put some real info on your site (still no ph# though) :)
I'm glad you give the number here on ECF, but when I was first trying to buy stuff I had no idea that this place existed, and went on faith that V4L was good, and took a lot of time to figure out what I needed/wanted. Remember; at the time V4L had no contact info other than email, and who wants to wait on email when you want something! It would have been a much better experience for me to call someone to sort out what i need, and wanted.
I'm glad I did, because you guys are way cool, and have exceeded my hopes for this product, and service.
Thanks for the quick reply to my post, I see you guys are on it and care, but I hope you and others understand what I was talking about. To me it's just the way life is moving these days--especially business, there is becoming such a gap between customer, and dealer, that is kind of scares me with the thinking these days.
Obviously V4L is still in the OG mindset, which I think is great...just put a ph# on your site darn you!

Let's see...

1 battery that bit the dust real early. Emailed back and forth with Val - "note it on your next order, we'll replace it" "my last order hasn't shipped yet, can you add it to order #XXXXX" "Modified the notes" and new battery is in.

1 time got caramel instead of CMF - PM'ed Mark (and Steve... PM'ed Mark because I saw he was online) and it was fixed next order.

Missing bottle of Cowboy on last order (right after a HUGE sale when I know that they were putting together stuff left, right, and sideways!) Called Mark and he said he'd send it out tonight.

Ok, so goofs on two orders - which they made good very very quickly.

So, .... happens. But I've only found two online companies with the sort of customer service where you can send a note to the president/owner/vp of the company and things are fixed ASAP. V4L is one of them. (The other one is Bramble Berry - who has nothing at all to do with eCigs so I hope folks don't mind me mentioning them in the kudos.)

Not saying that there aren't others out there, but these are the ones I've put to the test and haven't found lacking.

I gotta say I see both sides of this. I also would like to see a number on the website.....and we probably eventually will. But I know this type of business and it's not easy to get something like phone service setup unless you are really prepared and ready for it. If I had to guess I'd say V4L is pretty much a warehouse with a handful of folks running around filling orders like the devil was chasing them. No receptionist....no real office space per se...no time to be answering phones. Grab the orders off the computer in the morning and get to filling them!

Adding phones to the website has to be planned out. Steve's business has grown form nothing in a year's time to be a fairly well established decent volume thing. I'm thinking 150-200 orders/day typical. Now add phones to the internet and how many calls do you think they'd get......between orders, problems, informational, spam, and etc? Average call length on orders could be 15 minutes easy. That's 4 calls/hour times 10 hrs/day equals 40 -50 calls per operator. Now I've worked as an office manager. I'd say that 200 calls/day would not be unusual. At that rate they would need to add 4 people to the payroll just to keep up with the phones.

Steve would probably love to do it....if he's anything like he appears to be to me. But he's probably not quite ready yet.

ps. Hey Steve if you need help I'm currently unemployed....:D

Besides the fact you want to make sure you have someone answering your phone that you trust. Won't be going off on customers and such... giving out false info.

Almost all self motivated self starters that I know are VERY picky and need things to be done their way and done right. I'm sure just throwing some people on the phones isn't really an option.

But ya Skinny I was a little leery when I couldn't find a # on the site myself. Good thing I found this site before I ordered.

Ditto - but I was going through the reviews and saw one left by a friend of mine last year, so I shot her an email to get an up to date review. All favorable, so I took the plunge. (and very glad I did!)

I visited V4L in mid-December and you have a very good handle on what I saw. Also it's not a big warehouse. Inventory, packing, and shipping all take place in a room that is about 20' x 70' (estimate from memory). Mark's desk is in there too. Then there was another room where Steve & Maranio had their desks.

With the explosive growth since then, I can't even imagine what it is like now. I felt like I was always standing in someone's way. Through it all, everyone was friendly, smiling, & joking. It was busy as heck, but everyone seemed to be enjoying every minute.

That sounds about right. I've worked in large places and small....I know what these places look like and how they run. 30 years in the workforce will do that to ya.....
