... omg. i won a contest from V4L. they sent me the wrong PRIZE. i made a slight comment about it, not even caring. mark sent me a pm apologizing like crazy and said he would sent out the right prize and to keep what i had already gotten. all of these items were FREE, i paid NOTHING. and the guys were caring enough to go out of their way to fix something that cost THEM not me.

V4L and crew, top shelf.

Some want a solution, some want a problem. [shrug] That's retail. This company I've been doing for [cough] close to a decade was my first foray into retail. Lots of learned lessons for sure.

I stress about customer service a lot LESS now, believe it or not. It's easy to fix actual problems. It's impossible to fix things that can't be fixed. I think I've grown the serenity to recognize the difference [most of them time]. Smile, give them their money back and thank whatever deity you are inclined to thank that it's that simple to move on.

truer words have not been spoken. as a bitter old jaded server/bartender/sometime manager, i have seen stuff in restaurants from low-end theme to high end white tablecloth that would make most people on this forum never eat out again.

and that goes both ways, if you know what i'm saying. i became a professional at telling people to get bent at this one independent joint, and boy i really liked it there. wasn't like some spineless national franchise that would roll over and hand out gift certificates at the first hint of a tantrum.

at the risk of being a hijacker and without reading the rest of the thread (i plan to finish it and maybe post again) i will just say straight up people who scoff at servers make me go all medieval. just remember, if you're always a cheap f'er you should probably never eat at the same place more than a few times before you scuttle off to find somewhere else to squat.

ok i read everything, and i also have had nothing but good to say about V4L's customer service. personally my gripe is the lack of new inventory on the site. i would be interested in buying wholesale as well, i can sell yellow snow to an eskimo, how much V4L gear do you think i could sell i wonder.

I digging up the devil here. I just want to say I belive V4L used to have great service, but not any more. I was bacically accused of trying to steal product from them, when I had the exact same problem as the OP. Val even blammed it on me, and said I should have known that I should specify what I wanted even though the picture was of what I wanted. This was the most embarrassed I have ever been. I was treated like I was a thief. Yeah she said she would have Steve call me after I got mad (although I told her they had the wrong number and she never asked for the correct one) but at that point there was very little chance I was ever going to buy from them again anyway. Look I belive this company was founded on great customer service, but those days have gone. I think you guys will realize this as you start to have more problems.

OK I'm ready for it slam away.

Ok, grateful, I see what you mean. It is not specified that you need to clarify what kind of logo for the kits, but I barely looked for a couple hours, completely new to e-cigs and V4L, unaware of this forum, yet I knew.

I ordered for the first time on the Wednesday before last. I got everything exactly as I wanted. How did I know to specify?

I think I looked at the site. I think I looked at their batteries. I think I actually looked at the products I was about to buy individually before buying a kit. I think I actually took the time to see what I was buying...by looking at the site.

Yes, there should be a little thing saying "specify logo" but they say "specify batteries" so.....it was totally common sense to me. And I'm book-smart, totally lacking common sense.

So while I partially agree with you on the battery thing....I disagree about how unclear it was. It says specify colors, etc, but if you look at the site, it's obvious they have different types of batteries. They are not psychic. And maybe the manufacturers or another company took the pictures of the products.

But I can't imagine how busy this mom and pop type company is, getting on average 200 orders a day. And then they have to deal with us people sending them thousands of emails a day, and trying to peruse all of the negative comments on ECF of people who do not calmly talk to them via e-mail or PM... This is not a staff of 100+ people. It's like 10 people. They don't have "secretaries" and "assistants": their goal is to help us, nothing more.

Sorry, it just bugs me how negative people are... I mean, I'm a newb to all of this, yet I figured out the basics. Without the forum, without days spent searching online. I looked at a website and was sold. And educated.

I'm done.

By the way I was actually buying the shorty batterys not the kit. This is the only battery that you have to specify this. Every other battery you order by which picture it is of. The shorty they did differently. You have to specify it, but they don't tell you that. Even if it was obvious though they shouldn't start treating you badly because you made a mistake. Just try and work out a problem, don't resort to telling the customer they don't know what their doing. All I wanted was a hey no problem we can get this worked out.

Plus it's kind of insulting when they put a note on your invoice that says enjoy the Freebies, and they don't throw any in there. I hadn't gotten any in my last order so I didn't expect any, but when I saw that note, I was pretty insulted.

And I did calmly to talk to them through email. I did this until I was absolutely embarrassed from being insulted so badly. I am not a thief, that's why when I first had the problem, and they offered to send the replacement I told them to wait until my next order. I was not trying to get over on them. I loved them.

It was never about the battery being wrong, or the wrong cartos they sent. That was never an issue. Things happen. It's about the way we were treated after the mistake was made. That's the issue. All company's mess up some time it's how they react afterwards that makes the difference. Belive me I wish I could post emails on this forum. I would show you how they react.

OK, whats going on here lately? It's like a witch hunt. Folks aren't even trying to get things sorted out with the vendor, vendors have no idea something is amiss, but its plastered all over the forums before it can be addressed properly. Wow, different world, I liked the old one better.
I think folks need to up their nicotine :D if the're getting their panties in a twist that fast:w00t:

Some people just like to be mad...nothing you can do will make them happy no matter how hard you try.... Bill Cosby said.. "I don't know the key to key to success, but I know the key to failure is trying to please everyone."....... or something like that........

For what it's worth, I think the V4L guys are doing a great job.... :D

Since you ingenious people want to repeat the same thing, I will to. They do a good job as long as you don't make a mistake. If you do they just insult you. That's not who I want to do business with.

For all I know maybe Steve don't even know or understand how people are being treated, but I do know, for sure, it is happening.

Truthfully what I am mad about is having to find a new supplier. I think there is only one other company selling VG cartos right now. That's what I'm mad about. I wanted to love vapor4life. I even got to love them, until I had a problem.

Hmmm.... my first post was just as reasonable... they both basically said the same thing.... your unhappy, they can't please everyone, you being the obvious example, it's time for you both to cut your losses and move on.... I am sure that whatever company you do find will also have a laundry list of complaints from people they couldn't please as well.... such is life, such is retail... :D

[/rant]Hi. I'm here because I have issues. See, I ordered some shorties from V4l but they didn't send me what I wanted! Everyone talks about these guys being psychic! Well I'm here to say they're not b/c they sent me the wrong batteries! How could they do this to me? Seriously, they have seen and read how many posts/emails from me? They oughta know ME by now.

Oh and what's this enjoy freebies!? WHAT! I'm a Druish Princess! I don't need freebies! How dare you NOT send ME freebies. It's right here on my invoice. Where's my freebies?! How insulting can you people get?

OH and now your telling me it was MY mistake? I don't make mistakes. I'm perfect and the customer is ALWAYS right. I can't make mistakes. How dare you accuse ME of making a mistake. Especially when I don't read your site before ordering b/c I shouldn't have to since the customer is always right. Yup I'm infallible I can't be wrong.

Now your offering to send me the right ones?! MY gods do you even know how to treat people? And I don't even need to send the wrong ones back? This is outrageous! You know what? You guys can keep your batteries and send them to me on my next order b/c I'm never ordering from you guys again.

I have never been so insulted in my LIFE![/rant]

Alright you guys are fanbois we get it. Both sides have been posted. I just thought I would let others know there are two sides to this vender. It was over for me a last week. Just saw this post, and thought I would let those who haven't already decided they can do no wrong know about it. I'm done here. Sorry I got the fans out again.

This was just stupid. They never offered to replace them. They said it was my fault. Why am I the one who is supposed to be psychic? There it one type of battery that is ordered differently than every other type of battery on their site. Yet it doesn't say that on the site. I am just supposed to know that. Yeah your real smart.

And yes how dare they accuse me of making a mistake. That's not how it's done. Sorry bud but it's not. I would be fired instantly for this. No exceptions. Especially if it was in writing. On top of it all none of this addresses the fack that they send me pg cartos for vg when I told them vg in the order. Guess I didn't underline it so that's my fault to. It was a severely messed up order in every aspect of it, yet they made no attempt to fix it untill after I got mad about their accusations. No I did not talk to steve, but I shouldn't have had to. It should have just been handled right.

As I said I'm done now everything has been stated for people to see both sides. I will comment no further. Have a nice life, and I hope you never need to use their customer service.

Pointing out that you've obviously misunderstood things is NOT bad customer service. You've even misread my comments.

And the comments on the invoices is standard. It's on all of them!

Sorry they offered to replace some cartos I originally had a problem with, that was long before all of this. Man I said I wouldn't post again, but I didn't want you to think I had lied. Not sure why you put the first comment in red.

Edit I was not worried about the cartos they sent out wrong. I did say it was a different problem, or at least I said an original problem. Once again I was not mad about any of this. It was just about how I was treated afterwards. I'm now unsubscribing to this thread.
