I thought I'd note:

I went to empty the drawers that had two and a half packs of cigarettes in one of them that I bought just before my VK came in.

I've "wanted" a cigarette a couple times in the last two weeks - honestly, I could "go for one" right now, but I really don't think I'm NEEDING one. So I went ahead and tossed 'em out a few minutes ago. No reason to keep them around - I didn't toss them early on because I figured knowing they were there would head off any "scarcity" issues in my wee-brain. I actually don't feel any desperation knowing they're gone and I'm out, which is interesting. Before the VK, I would have been hauling .... to the gas station right now, concerned whether I could find one with my brand before they all closed for the night.

So - thanks V4L - that's pretty amazing to me. I haven't had a single cigarette since my first shipment arrived!

Just remember.... this is just the start of all this technology, it's inevitable one day they will have an e-cig that will give you a better nicotine hit quicker like a real cig does.

I do still get the cravings for a real hit, but then i think about what it does to your insides and how my hands and breath and clothes will stink afterwards, that quickly changes my mind lol.

I have not had a cig since day one the desire lurks from time to time but I get by it fairly easily (something I have never been able to overcome in the past) I do not even avoid going inside of gas stations anymore. My local gas station that I always bought my cigs from always asks if I need smokes after saying no the past two weeks she asked if I quit when I said yes she asked me how and I think I might have shared the joy with another person hope she orders and changes her life the way V4L changed mine. I do have to say that I have a new addiction and it is not the nic in e-cigs but the joy of trying and creating new flavors and blends. Late at night I feel like Dr. Frankenstein working on some secret invention and I love it.

A lot of us still keep our last cigarettes around. They are no longer appealing after drying out for a little over 9 months, really! Just to smile about. I haven't wanted or tasted a cigarette since day one, after 44 years of smoking, 2-3 packs a day toward the last.

I still have mine, just to make sure that the little evil dude who used to whisper "It's OK, you're an adult, you can have one" is dead. In the past, he's been like Jason in the Halloween movies.

You're doing great, Adrenalynn - keep it up!!

Congratulations! You're on your way. Getting rid of those cigs is a huge step forward. The scarcity thing is an important part of the mental process of letting go of them, I believe. I remember getting low in my pack and actually counting them to see if I could make it all night or if I had to go out to buy some more, if anything was open. That wasn't fun, I'm glad that stress is over. LOL

I remember counting to make sure that I had enough to get through the night, and three for the morning before I left the house. Too funny. Strangely enough, I haven't been able to count, but I've been thinking for the past few days, that if this atomizer died on my Elite kit, I was totally going to be screwed! I believe I would've grabbed one of the ciggs in my fresh pack had my atomizer died.
