Hi all I have recently dropped in nicotine strength fr 18mg to 12 mg the new 12mg is giving me that not satisfied feeling, will the lack of throat hit be due to the drop on nicotine.. I am using the vamo v5 with aerotank mega. Cheers

2 tanks.

1 with the higher strength.

Yes, less nicotine will have less throat hit but there are other factors as well, such as: the nicotine a vendor uses (some are better than others, some have a very peppery like quality to them which I don't like), the juice your vaping also has an effect bc some juices just have more throat hit, some less, and some just have a satisfying one.

As the post above me said, the tank your using will also make a difference. Generally if a tank has less airflow you'll have a larger Throat hit. Have you considered trying to request a special nic level from your vendors? You don't have to vape a certain level, those numbers are more of a standard for consistancy and not a rule. Maybe instead of 12mg go 1st to 14mg or 15ng. Good luck

Yes, lowering your nic strength will diminish your TH.

Here's what you can do safely to increase throat hit without nicotine:

1) Switch to 100 or 80% PG ejuice
2) Increase wattage--the warmer the vape, the more TH it provides
3) Add a drop or 2 of alcohol per ml of ejuice (rum and vodka are good)
4) Try dual coil clearomizers (or top dual coil clearomizers)--dual coils produce more vapor and the proximity of the heating coil to your lips makes the vapor feel warmer
5) How about peppermint? Just make sure it's water soluble kind--not a peppermint oil. If you like menthol, that might help, or koolada.

Cinnamon is tricky. Cinnamaldehyde is a lung irritant and some people are very sensitive to it. I generally try to avoid it, but the bakery cinnamon is considered OK for vaping--you may give it a try.

You will get used to it. I felt the same way when I started stepping down to 6 mg from 12 was the hardest. Now I am at 2 mg and really don't like a throat hit anymore! I had some 12 left over and found and tried it and it nearly knocked me over!

With stepping down the cravings will really disappear and you can actually go places without worrying about places to vape. I can go hours now without one.

My drop from 24mg to 18mg was easy. When I dropped from 18mg to 12mg I found myself vaping heavily for a couple of weeks to compensate. That went away quickly. Then, I dropped to 6mg and it was easy, peasy. 100% PG juice will give you the throat hit and flavor. Try some Madvapes Tobacco to return the throat hit and heavy flavor. A little Halo Torque56 would also restore the cigarette sensation.

I vape Dekang Tobacco and add 1ml of Madvapes Tobacco to a Kayfun 3.1 tank. It's just right at 6mg nic.

I experienced the same thing but my advice is to stay strong. I started out 4mos ago @36mg, now I'm down to 2-4mg. The hardest was when I made the jump from 15 down to 3 ( started drippin). There is a wonderful satisfaction that comes with not being hopelessly dependent on nicotine. I tried some 21mg the other day to taste test a friends new juice and it knocked my socks off with the throat hit. These days I prefer a big, fairly cool cloud with almost no TH at all.
