Disclosure: I'm nor good with knowing all the acronyms and stuff, still learning.

I have been vaping casually for about 2 years, i have an eGo-twist and just received a Kanger ProTank 2 from a buddy. I'm ready to finally quit cigarettes and am very interested in a variable mod. i was looking at the itaste SVD and the eGo Vamo, also the provari (but i don't think i can afford ) any help on making the decision easier would be greatly appreciated thanks guys/gals

edit: also accepting recommendations for better mods i may be missing...

If your on a twist right now you kinda already know what it's gona be kinda like.

From my research, as I'm looking into those same types of mods.

Vv ( variable voltage, like the twist )
Vw ( variable wattage, not like twist ) uses the resistance of the atomizer and calculates what voltage is needed to provide that power. No matter if you change atty ( atomizer for short ) to a Lower or higher resistance. It's nice so you don't have to change voltage as you swap tanks, cartomizers etc. it adjust for you

These mods will be similar to the twist ( some go higher in voltage though ), but offer larger batteries, and sometimes extra features like VW. Most have the same threads, ego+510. And all the tanks and gear fit almost the same, some may not I've read.

So basically, if your looking for bigger battery life and a few more power options. These mods might be what you want. But from what I'm reading ( still new at this ) they operate is a very similar fashion as the twist.

There is some other details like amps the battery can produce, smaller ones don't produce as much at the same voltage. But I'm still getting a grasp on that in terms of vaping.

Good luck, hope this helped a bit. This is my impression of the info I've read so far

If the store has a smoktech Sid, check it out. It's supposed to be similar to a vamo, but @$50-60 is cheaper.

If you using a normal Ego-T style battery, i would pick up some 1.8ohm coils for that protank.

Ive been pretty happy with a Protank2, 1.8ohm coil and a ego-t upgrade on regulated voltage mode (constant 3.3v) and its a good setup. Will get you a pretty good vape.

Ive been thinking about moving on to a Vamo V3...but my batteries are in great shape still, so dont want to waste those.

I have a vamo v3 with a potank on it currently.

I have to say I am quite pleased. Consistently good. My vamo can test my coils for me. Which is extremely nice when checking to see if a coil is warn out. Also it lets me know what to set it to.

I can see how much battery life I have, and have a range of battery options. Adjust it with volts or watts as I choose. I can even put in a tall battery and use the short adapter to go around my potank and protect the glass.

I don't think it is quite the nicest looking. But a wrap solves it. Both my coil obsessed RBA building boyfriend and myself are happy with our vameo's.
