I absolutely hate the flavour of VG but I vape it exclusively. PG doesn't seem to agree with me. Somehow, different vendors manage to get different tastes from the VG. I've found some ubearably VG-y and some it was just an undertone.

Strong flavours definately help. The most disgusting VG tester batch I ever got were unvapeable for the exception of the mint. It was strong enough to overpower the VG. I could still taste it but it was muted enough to not feel like losing my lunch shouting for hughey down the toilet.

I find with 100% VG you actually need to "burn" it for less time because there's so much more vapour. If I draw too long it's too thick and tastes wet and overly VGish.

I just had a bottle of VG go bad on me. I was hoping someone would respond to my thread on the subject, but no joy yet. The liquid was fine when I tested it last week, but when I put it in my new 401 attys, I thought the attys had been dipped in poison. Bad chemical taste, and the vapor was more like smoke from a plastic fire than the nice vape I got from the same bottle a week ago. I smelled the bottle of liquid, and there was the smell to go with the taste. Cleaning the attys with water took the bad smell away. Still don't know what went wrong. Too bad, I can't tolerate PG and I love the taste of VG liquids.

I wonder if similar things have kept others from enjoying VG.

I guess I am one of the few who does like 100% VG. Yes it does tend to mute flavours a little, but I can get over that by adding additional flavour if needed. It only works for me in cartos though as I am not a dripper and it is just way too think for the tank system. yeah I know it can be thinned with distilled water, however for going out with a tank I have found that a 50/50 mix of VG / PG works ok for me. I can definitely notice the drop in both vapor quantity and also the increased TH, which I have never been a real fan of in any case.

Richard.
Nope your not alone.
And a good mixer can make a VG do some fantastic things. I use Johnson Creek. Many don't like it, but they have 2 pipe like tobacco flavors I gravitate to and when I get bored with them, I mix a pg Marlboro flavor with them. to change it up some.

If you are tasting a plastic burn, ya cooked a carto.

What I don't like about many PG flavors is it (best I can describe) tastes like soap.
