how com when I respond using the quote function, the reply states:
instead of putting it in a blue quote??

noob dweeb

To reply to your message I just clicked, "Reply With Quote", and got this box. At the top of the box is
(and then everything you wrote said:
So, what I did was put my cursor right after the bracket at the end of the last "QUOTE]" and hit enter a couple of times to get a couple of lines below your text, to start my response. Hope that helps. Happy vaping! :D

I see! In your original post, the brackets [ ] you had around the word "quote" in the sentence confused the dickens out of the machine and it broke the quoted text at that point. Does that make any sense?

well, i'm breaking up sentences sometimes to respond to part of the response...

Everything between a pair of "[QUOTE...]" ... "[/QUOTE]" 'tags' appears in a blue quote box. When you break up sentences, you are interrupting the quote tags.

Just make sure that what you want to be in a quote box starts with "[ quote]" and ends with "[ /quote]" (without the spaces in front of the "q" and the "/"). The other stuff in the starting quote tag just adds the "Originally posted by ..." to the quote; it's not needed after the first one if all the sections are from the same quoted post.
