Just throwing this in there FWIW. I've spent the last 10 years making so many trips to China I've lost count. My company manufactures electronics (primarily power supplies) and we outsource our high volume work to China. I've probably spent upwards of 1000 hours in Chinese manufacturing facilities. 90% of that time I have been impressed at their forward thinking, compliance to various rules and regulations and overall competence. Sure, they have a ways to go to get to the point of sophistication found in many successful American manufacturing sites, but they've only been at this level of industrial (high tech) development for what, 20 years? We've had double that across the entire nation, while theirs is concentrated primarily around their Eastern seaboard.

Just another reason why I'm not overly concerned with their ability to self-regulate.

so then, one should safely assume that they want to put dangerous toxins in their e-juice so they could just kill off all their consumers, right?

that's a pretty strong marketing plan.
Did you not hear about the melamine in milk that did indeed kill some consumers in China? Melamine from China in pet food has also killed pets here in the US, so yes, some Chinese companies are not above putting poisons in products to cut costs. Is it stupid? Of course. Doesn't mean it can't happen again though. There are many companies in China and it's obvious that regulations don't mean much to some of them.

There may be no significant cost cutting with e-liguids involving toxic fillers, but I'm certainly willing to pay slightly more for product produced elsewhere.

not like we don't have US related deaths over FDA approved medicine though right?

blaming China doesn't really solve anything. everyone cuts corners and later pays for their mistakes.

That's a little too much apples and oranges to me. It's not China the country obviously. It's certain companies in China. And everyone does not cut corners, including Chinese manufacturers. Doesn't mean past performance shouldn't be ignored when it comes to buying something you put in your mouth. As for prescription drugs, don't get me started. It doesn't take generics to kill you. Big Pharma brand names do a fine job on their own. Doesn't even take scripts to kill you. OTC drugs, including aspirin and other NSAIDS are responsible for thousands of deaths every year from overuse. I consider all drugs to be potentially dangerous, and avoid them whenever I can. And I'll stick to ECOPure for e-liguid if I can as well.

It's simple really. If you don't trust Chinese products, don't buy them. Buy your e liquids from Johnson Creek.
Of course it's simple. Why would it be anything else? And I'll probably give JC a try as well.

Geez, I've read all these Chinese arguments so many times now.

Yes, the Chinese have been known to kill children and dogs.
So don't begrudge anyone for their concern.

Yes, those that do such things and get caught sometimes actually get executed for their efforts.
So yeah, nobody in China probably cuts corners with a light heart.

There is not a whole lot of extra profit to be made from cutting corners on juice.
So there really isn't a whole lot to be all that worried about.

The End?

Most pet food has Ethoxyquin in it, Eukanuba and Hills to name a couple use it.

It causes skin and coat problems + cancer in the kidneys and liver .

Its a pesticide but your and our government allow it to be used as a preservative.

So far in nearly a year of vaping I have not had any nasty side effects from chinese produced liquid.
