In a weird twist of Fate... I just found out that Johnny Otis, the Godfather of Rhythm and Blues, and also the man who discovered Etta James... passed away 3 days ago, on Jan. 17th, at age 90. Another Great Legend gone!! And so strange that they went so closely together...
"If there's a Rock and Roll Heaven.... You know they've got a Hell of a band!!"
... Hiya folks - Long time no see! Um...Guess I have to explain... Really Ive been down and out for a couple of months so .... not nice - not pleasant. Well who cares! I'm back in business
K5, I won that Leon Russell Live album from Tower in the '70s. I wore out that JJF/ Young Blood tract. I can't believe it's on video..... soooo cool !!!!
Got my hands on the above CD...simply awesome. Very tribal and hypnotizing is how I would describe it, and Irina Chirkova's cello is soothing to my soul. I'm not a huge fan of female vocalists, but Lisa Guyer is a perfect combo with Sully! I can't believe that I missed this when it was released.
