I haven't thought about Greg Brown in years, ran across this and it had me laughing hysterically! This is gonna be my song tomorrow when I have to have my car at the mechanic by 7:30 in the morning 
I was gonna wish everyone a Happy Earth Day... but then I heard this sad, sad news:
Richie Havens, Who Opened Woodstock Music Festival, Dies at 72 - Bloomberg
I guess this is the perfect day for his passing, because now he can rejoin Mother Earth...
and hopefully his Spirit will be truly free!!

Footnote: I had the pleasure of seeing him back in 2004 at a FREE concert here on the Santa Monica Pier... with Janis Ian opening. He played for close to 3 hrs. and I am SO happy that I was there!!
