Hmmmm.... geeeeeeeesh.... looking through some of the ad sites here, and omg. :w00t:

I see all KINDS of pretties! This could become an addiction in itself! All the different styles and finishes and tanks and tips... *sigh*
Guess I'll be starting a wish list....yes, methinks I'll be starting a collection soon. Rewards. For each month smoke free, I do deserve a little reward, yes? One little addition to my "collection" each month. ;)

Welcome to the even-more-addictive world of vaping, LoL!:toast:

Hello everyone,
I'm new on this forum and am soooo glad I found you guys!
I've learned so much just reading all the informative posts.
So I'm going on 3 months without an analog, now and don't see myself going back! I started out with a 1300mAh Vision Spinner + a Knanger T3 BC Clearo... but after reading the posts here I had to venture into the realm of VV + RBAs!
Recently got a eVic + AGA T2 and this is my first wick and coil using #400 mesh + Ribbon Kanthal...

A B&M store is a brick and mortor store-an actual building that you can go to as opposed to ordering from an Internet website store. Took me a bit to figure that one out too. Lol!
I kinda figured that, but wasn't sure. No, we don't have any of those here..not for e-cig supplies, anyway. Sure wish we did. For me, it'll have to be online. And there are soooooooo many online e-cig sites out there, too !!! Geesh.

But for now, I'm quite happy with my Halo G6 starter kit and mini tank attachment. I'm in no hurry. ;)

Thanx for the welcomes and well wishes. :)

Yes, my health DOES thank me. Have wanted to quit for years and years. As a nurse, I know only too well how harmful smoking is to one's body, and not just our lungs. Not to mention how hypocritical I always felt being in the health profession and smoking. Hated the nasty smell of smoke clinging to my clothes, my breath smelling like an ash tray. Truly.. I hated it. ALL of it. Wouldn't even smoke in my car (and certainly not our home!) because I didn't want my car or home smelling like that. But then I'd have to pull off every couple hours and have a smoke.. and go smoke outdoors in freezing temps when at home. So crazy.

But no more! lol Now I can smoke anytime, anywhere. No more freaking out being stuck at an airport for endless hours knowing there is no smoking allowed ANYWHERE. That in itself was enough to make me want to smoke an entire pack right then and there!!!

As far as e-cigs, not having any issues yet.. everything seems pretty common sense.. just fill and smoke 'em !!!
I do have one question though... what does a drip tip do differently and just what is dripping, anyway? Appreciate your input.
I HAVE found out how much difference a mini tank makes as compared to the cartridges... both in flavor and in vapor. Best thing ever! So now I'm curious about the drip tip, as it hasn't arrived with my new order yet ... Thanx in advance!

Hi and welcome here jnette. As a new vaper myself I find that there are a lot of kick ... reviewer on youtube and elsewhere out there that does a really good job at telling us noobs where to start and to veterans where to look next.

2 of my personal favorite reviewers are pbusardo and grimmgreen. Both of these guys have web sites with a good "getting started" section. I highly recommend you to have a look at them. They help me out ALOT. You'll know what low res stuff is, dripper, carto RBA's etc etc etc after watching these guys.

After 1 month of vaping I'm starting to have a decent little collection of goodies thanks to them.

There are no B&M stores in my entire state, so I am glad I found this site. Probably saved me a boatload of $ on hardware that wouldn't work for me.

INDEED !!! Seriously! So much eye candy out there.. so many choices ! Amazing. I'm already wanting this and that, and oh yeh, that, too!

Paraphernalia...that's what it is ! I'm finding myself going back in time... many many MANY moons ago. Snooping around in the "hippie shops" for incense and "other things". LOL !!!!!

What's a B&M store, and where can I find one? I guess I can Google it. ;) Thanx for the input! :)

It's a Brick and Mortar shop. Since you're in a remote location why not do some Googling (is that a word? heheh) and see what town nearest you has one. I'm in Texas and quite a few smaller towns I am familiar with have one or even two stores now. New Braunfels (population under 30K) has 2, Waco (population under 20K) has 1 and many other smaller towns have a shop as well. I hope you get lucky and you can find one to visit for tasting. BTW, several of my local B&M's have web sites that say limit to tasting 5 juices per visit but when you go they actually let you taste as much as you want! I think they put that in for when they're really slammed with people and want to make sure everyone gets a chance to taste. And you're very welcome!

Vaping in public has not been a problem for me at all. I usually ask in restaurants and have always gotten a positive answer once I explain what it is and has no second hand smoke. Everywhere else I have just pulled it out and vaped and no one has said a word. I have not tried in a theater because I think it would be too distracting even for me. lol

The atomizer is just the coil that heats the ejuice. A cartomizer has the atomizer (bottom) and some filler with the ejuice.

The drip tip setup is just a hollow cylinder with an atomizer in the bottom and a mouthpiece (drip tip). You just put a few drops for a few vapor hits.

A clearomizer is a clear version of a cartomizer. Some use long wicks and others use small ones instead of the filler found in traditional cartomizers. You can reuse a clearo without any flavor mixing. Just wash it and fill up.

Did a little more research online last night to clarify these things for myself.. looked at images of the various components, etc. I'm definitely learning and feel more comfortable and competent every day with my increasingly acquired knowledge. So confident in fact, that I just went and ordered more "STUFF" !!! Lots of new flavors.. gave in and decided I'd try some of the sweet bakery and fruity flavors after all. (Thanx Chakris, for your recommendations...ordered a few from BMV, but quite a few MORE from HHV... lovvvve that site!) :p Also ordered a clearomizer, a couple more mini tanks (to hold my new flavors), and a few drip tips. Toys to play with I suppose. lol Loving it. This ought to hold me for awhile. ;)

Fantastic! I hope you find at least a few keepers in your juice orders! Just remember that when you first switch to vaping the longer it's been since your last analog the more your taste buds could change. So what you don't like this week you might like next week or the week after that. One flavor I loved my 1st week isn't so hot this week but I might like it again next week. lol

Looking forward to receiving all my goodies now... it's like waiting for Christmas !!! lol I even ordered a few 3 ml tanks...that's about as "flaunty" as I'm going to get right now. After all, I'm no spring chicken and don't want to look like a fool out there in public. Might even save those for "home use". Heh.

Yes.. anxious to try some of the flavors... I like creamy flavors, so I added some of those, too. I need to stop now.. one of my great thrills of quitting analogs (besides my health of course) was not having to spend all that $$ on cigs al the time. Don't want to end up spending the same on on these goodies now instead... geeeeesh. :|

But I think this ought to hold me for quite awhile. Can't wait. :thumb:

So true! But one fo the coolest things about vaping for me is trying all the different vendors and flavors.

It's normal to go a bit crazy at first on Vape goodies, and waiting on Vape mail is always alot of fun and can become addictive. But the ones that love vaping enough to try all sorts of stuff, are usually the ones that don't turn back to smoking so that's a good thing! After awhile when you've tried alot and get to know your all day Vape flavor and setup you prefer, it's real real cheap. Especially once you start making your own juice and coils, then it's so cheap you could Vape for at least a month on what it used to cost for a pack of cigs :)

Yep... gotta have some fun if you're quitting smoking, right? All the first fun-frenzy part of it helps with that. I am definitely intersted in learning to make my own juice down the line a bit. Please post a link to this handy information.. the best "how-to" advice. Thanx in advance! :)
